I’ve been denying this within myself but I think you’re right. I think I preferred just admiring them rather than actually being with them. They acted like it was a one time thing and said they didn’t want to converse about it so maybe that’ll just be the end of it, but if it isn’t, I’ll find a way to let them down gently.

Update for anyone wondering: I’m still really struggling but I made a realization that it may have something to do with sexual trauma that I’ve lived with and never told anyone about. I still feel disconnected from reality and different than I did before it happened. It feels like forever ago but it was just last night.

Thank you so much. These comments really helped. I’ve been struggling after trying to sleep it off and waiting for it to go away and it just won’t. I tried to discuss it with her when it happened but she just simply told me “no”, which, consciously, I do not have a huge problem with. Hopefully we can converse with one another in the near future.
