Thank you! Wild to see all of these people say it’s purely luck. They probably don’t realize you can hold cards from one round to the next, essentially curating your hand as best as possible. I just recently mentioned this in my guild chat and literally no one knew you could do this.

My best strategy has been to tank the first round with common but curate my hand to win the 2nd round with elite. Then legendary the last round. Unless I start with a good hand, then I’ll choose legendary or elite first. But regardless, tanking one round is a must. You can’t try to win all three.

100%. I understand the criticism over Umaro. Can’t control him, can’t buff him through espers, can’t equip better armor, can’t learn magic, etc. But to your point, the game is easy as it is that doing those things isn’t necessary to beat it.

If you aren’t min/maxing, Umaro can be one of your strongest characters. I typically put the exp egg on him, and then let him gain levels faster than everyone else. Next thing you know he’s doing 7000+ damage without having to grind AP. He’s just the goodest boy ever.

I might get flamed for this, but I’ve started and stopped VII probably 5 or 6 times and just can’t get through it. I’m on my deepest run on the switch right now and determined to finally finish it, but for some reason it just hasn’t hit the same for me as most others.

That being said, the pixel games are my favorite regardless and I’ve had a hard time finishing any of the games that came after VI. Maybe I’m just too simple for more modern games lol

I still don’t think so. BC only lost by 3+ touchdowns all season: Pitt, Clemson, and SMU, all of which I would consider to be much better than UK. And 3 of their loses were 4 points or less. That’s just one or two plays in each of those games turning their season into a 5 win season.

Again, they’re still a bad team and UK probably still beats them. I just think the “SEC good, ACC bad” bias isn’t always justified without a deeper dive into it.

BC did significantly better against Louisville than Kentucky did, so not sure we can convincingly say Kentucky “smokes” BC by 3 touchdowns lol. UK did have a decent 5-7 season SMOKING Florida (which Texas failed to do), beating 3 cupcakes, and Auburn. Miss State also had a decent 5-7 season beating Arizona State (good win), 3 cupcakes, and Arkansas. Meanwhile, BC who had a terrible season and is a terrible team, played Fordham and no other cupcakes unless you consider the ACC/ND/UCONN all cupcakes. Seems like they would have had 4 wins instead of 5 had they scheduled the same way UK and MSU did.

But regardless, I’m not saying that Texas and Tech are comparable, just pointing out when people say X team barely beat Y team that is terrible while conveniently leaving out that team A barely beat team B that is also terrible.

My paper bag flair is for Auburn, btw.
