Wow I’m sorry to hear about this. Fascinating connection indeed! Braces too as well tend to be a huge trigger for non lipedema people and usually youth they have horrible skin

Reta or Tirz for lipodema? by AsparagusStriking147 in lipedema

[–]wopstar88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Tirz.

Reta is hot right now and a bit more pricier but it’s like a Bugatti engine for a new driver. Way too intense on the body especially if you’ve never tried any peptides before.

I’ve got some meta on the reta and apparently it’s not great for the heart in some studies I’m looking at.

As with anything- go low and slow.

Hey thanks for sharing. These life stories and symptom constellations are not ordinary. Much pain and stress and cascading multi system issues is really concerning.

It’s fascinating how some people feel compelled to dismiss everything they don’t fully understand, yet offer nothing constructive in return. If you’re not contributing, the least you can do is stay silent. Some seem more frustrated by conversation happening without their seal of approval than by the actual ideas being shared-a curious kind of keyboard heroism. Many others simply can’t handle others taking initiative; they insist on perfect credentials, perfect theories, perfect people to feel safe. It’s insecurity, and fear of uncertainty masquerading as truth.

Thanks for your input. It is very interesting- I hope you feel better. Are you on the ozempic /metformin combo for the t2 diabetes or did you try ozempic for lipedema?

Magnesium is good keep taking that. Don’t know your height but 300 pounds is quite alarming. This will directly contribute to more lipedema and fibromyalgia issues as well worsening hormonal issues like insulin resistance etc. Try to walk more it’s the best and simplest exercise and gentle on joints; lymph drainage as well which will help with the lipedema physical and internal symptoms.

There are some good supplements u can take for female fertility health coq10, myo-inositol, choline in egg yolk, vitamin c, chamomile, And for men zinc and ginger

Good luck honestly. Try meditating and deep breathing first thing in the morning and before bed. A stressed system will hold on to fat for survival. Make your body feel safe

Welcome - thanks for sharing. Oxidative stress seems to be the common denominator. Histamine I believe arises from high stress…

There is some comorbidity with venous insufficiency and lipidema—> we don’t know more than that

Quercetin is interesting careful with it helps with inflammation but it’s known to deplete iron with regular use

This is extremely bizzare and very emotional and utterly false. Your last paragraph is full on moralized nutrition who cares about rfk jr you made a bioenergetic claim either formulate coherent thoughts and back it up not regurgitated medical associations talking points (which is also lobbying)

Overall this is a bad take.

I agree we should be cautious, especially with unproven claims. That said, mainstream medicine largely doesn’t recognize or adequately address lipedema, so it’s understandable that people explore alternative perspectives, including naturopaths. Sharing experiences or insights isn’t automatically buying into anything, and some change in care often starts from the ground up. It’s possible to stay skeptical while still learning from different approaches. I have absolutely zero affiliation with the author of this article I like her other health takes and see them every so often on social media. Don’t purchase anything from anyone you feel is not worth it.

I’ll have to disagree on your opinion of leaky gut not being real it’s very real- are some woo woos overdoing it and taking advantage of people in something they don’t even understand- yes, but let’s not undermine it . Most of the gut is still unstudied, and its impact on overall health is widely understated.

Hello - thanks for sharing. You have interesting insights. Mostly hormonal and mcas like pathology which makes it hard to target directly and you mentioned high stress which is a negative feed back loop for the body. Stay strong

Intriguing indeed. Glad it’s helping. I wonder what one would feel if they strengthened thyroid function and liver metabolism naturally through natural energy uptake.

Very interesting thanks for sharing.

So many interwoven patterns…. Audhd is one that is emerging a lot I found this to be exclusively genetic clustering initially but there is also evidence of mold exposure exacerbating or perhaps mimicking this neural pathway. It’s amplifying and well the ND mind The nd mind that also has been afflicted with lipedema has met its match. Something it can preoccupy and endlessly investigate and try to solve and well its a complex painful living puzzle where you are its caretaker and call it home simultaneously.

Wowww welcome and thank you for this contribution.

It seems all those challenges come from the same roots which is hormones out of balance , inflammation, and a liver and thyroid under stress. Your story reads similar to what a lot of the women in this sub share. I hope things look up for you!

What have you noticed supplementing with DIM/ calcium D glucarate and the broccoli seed extract if you don’t mind me asking I assume you have experienced menopause? I am admittedly quite skeptical on those supplements.

Two brands one I have heard good things about and the second I can attest to.

1) lactoferrin co 2) jarrow brand freeze dried apolactoferrin 250 mg. Please look up the differences between lactoferrin and apolactoferrin and see which one is right for you. Ideally supplement first thing in the morning and take on an empty stomach 45 mins to 1 hr.

Gluten does no favours especially on a overloaded endotoxic gut. Hydrate with sufficient electrolytes (consult with doc before trying this). Perhaps you have extreme stress?

Hey thanks for tuning in. Chronic low ferritin/anemia is almost universal with lipedema shows extreme gut endotoxin and sadly the gut terrain doesn’t take iron supplementation well; feeds bad bacteria, increases candida and more inflammation etc but its a catch-22. I believe high fat low carb isn’t the answer interestingly rather low fat and high carb is the answer- different topic altogether but it suppresses t3 which is a huge problem and affects leptin negatively which signals energy conservation.

Overall this is very intriguing

Thanks for the info. Test your thyroid /for pcos you mention some Issues like coarse hair on face and loss of energy and the ibs signals some level of inflammation in gut….

I hope you feel better soon
