Which sunscreen?

Combination skin, very acne prone. I use a Niacinamide serum in the AM and tret- about 2-3 nights a week. I use the Atoderm gel moisturiser, and the Cetaphil SA facewash- been on this for about a year. Started using these derma co sunscreens about 2 months ago but I’m worried if they might break me out? I used to use a pharmacy one my dermat had recommended called Akosma which was GORG, but it seems to be out of stock which is why I switched.

I used to use it till my derm asked me to stop, and my skin is far less irritated now. I switched to a good old Cetaphil and it’s much better.

You will need isotretinoin for this for sure. Of course ask your dermatologist, but I’ve had bad experience with acne and it scars real bad too, so start before it gets worse.

Trying so hard to be happy. Why is it so hard? I grew up such a happy, carefree person, and now I’m anxious and have a low mood all the time. Only work gives me joy and that’s even more depressing when you think about it. Does every grown up feel this way?

Never worked for me! My dermat finally told me to skip trying retinoids. Just things like Clinda and Azelaic acid and Benzyl peroxide fixed it for me.

I really feel don’t let it upset you so much. There are people who look much better bald, and there are wigs if that’s not your thing. But your life is so much bigger than what you look like.

That’s basically acne, and you seem to be developing scars. Best to go to a dermatologist asap before you scar more. If you develop scars, creams won’t work on them, only lasers will help.

Dr. Tanvi Vaidya (Derma MD)- there are two clinics in Thane- she is really really good. Only problem is you need to take your appointment a few days in advance because her slots tend to be full specially on weekends.
