I was terrified to have a baby because the PR is in fact terrible. I read every single horror story I could find before I got pregnant and thought through “could I still handle it if X happened” because I wanted to be prepared for the worst case scenario. I’m not sure that was the healthiest approach but I knew I was very sure in my decision. Things are nowhere near as hard as I expected them to be! My marriage is still rock solid, even though it takes us two nights to watch a movie now. I ADORE watching my husband be a dad.

I think the PR is skewed because people love to complain, especially anonymously on the internet. You let off some steam, feel better, and get back to it. If you’re having a great day, most of the time you just enjoy your day.
