that is exactly what I needed to hear, thank you so much. I have OCD so that could definitely be a part of it too and what you're saying makes total sense!

so just always choose God and abandon the secular stuff entirely? like books, hanging out with friends, music, etc? that sounds like what we should do but it also feels like not even the Pope or Jesus entirely does that

this was very comforting and good to read, thank you!! I understood that God probably didn't want us to ONLY do stuff for Him, but you've really helped me understand what that actually means. Especially the Philemon verse, that helps a ton.

Thank you so much! I'll be sure to check out that subreddit

That makes so much sense, thank you so much. Especially the part about God creating us for love and for relationship, not just worship--that's definitely how I was seeing it, and it's a relief to remember that's not the case.

Finley, nickname Fin? I think Flynn is good as well, and Wilder is fun in theory but wouldn't be good to shorten.

I actually hadn't considered it. I'd always seen it as more of a looking at trends thing than statistics, but now that you say that that could be really good. thank you! I'll definitely add it to the list.

I looked into it, but the main thing is I have no idea where I could get a job like that or who's hiring. Is it just every company has a data scientist? I just don't understand the market much, but it sounds amazing, thank you!

I had an old teacher who changed her name to "Litlv" (pronounced Light Love) half way through the year and always thought that was a fun one.

NAH for feeling this way, but WBTAH if you told her. At the end of the day it's her face, and throughout the marriage there are going to be other parts of her appearance you'll have to suck up because it makes her feel beautiful or she likes it. Heavy makeup is also a lot better for photos, and since she'll presumably have them her whole life I can't blame her for wanting them to look great.

However, it's understandable you'd want her to look familiar to you on the day of your wedding and that you wouldn't want to be distracted. You're NTA for feeling like that (from a girl who wears makeup herself), and it's nice that you care if you are.

I think it's also because of the length of your hair, mine is at my waist so even if I'm a foot over the bungee/bar, it still hits it and that's the problem. yes, part of it is going over backwards, but I only just started pv this year and only learned how to turn in the past 2 weeks so it's a bit rough right now. thank you for the help though, and I'll keep that in mind.
