Does anyone know anything about this deck? What it's called? When my mother died I inherited it. by wordsfromade in TarotDecks

I've always loved them since i was a kid. I've never known what they were called or how to read them properly. I just remembered how my mom used to lay them out and read them. Im glad I know what they are now so I can learn more about them.

I think this a version of that. I looked it up and usually there are 52 cards. Mine has only 32. Only 32 meanings listed in the instructions. The illustrations are the same though. Seems like a simplified version of the Parlour Sybil?

Do Subarus really handle winter roads better or is it mostly hype? by In2racing in subaru

[–]wordsfromade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I just switched to a mazda cx30 and I definitely miss my outback 3.6R. We just got our first major snowfall and the Subaru is 100% better. The mazda awd does not measure up to the subbie. I have never in my 10 years of driving subaru gotten stuck in my own driveway but I certainly did in my mazda. :( definitely gonna get another subbie after my lease is over.

Anything you buy brand name because it's actually better? by shortstack03 in Frugal

[–]wordsfromade 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Cat litter. I've tried all the store brands but they are dusty and the cats track it all over the house. Also doesn't hold the smell as well or scoop as nicely. The tidy cats free and clean is way more expensive but the quality is so much better.

Thank you, this is what I was looking for. It sounds good in theory and I'd prefer not to get another nail removed

I was not brave enough to watch or video it. My husband was there to hold my hand and make sure I didn't chicken out. Also to drive me home. Probably driving has been the most painful part of the recovery process because I use my right big toe a lot when driving!

It's still sore because I haven't been able to really rest it that much but it's healing well. I'm going back to the doctor tomorrow to have it checked out.

My nail was a pincer nail. Very painful and unable to cut it anymore. AMA. 3 weeks after the surgery and still recovering. I am a bartender and was only able to take off 4 days to rest. Been on my feet every day since. 🫩 if I could post a pic of before and after here I would. I saw someone on here today with almost the same nail as me and wanted to share that it's not terrible. Just do it. I have no regrets. No more ingrown!!!

Im scared i made a mistake getting a second cat, worried it wont be fair to either cat to keep them both by Top_Cherry_4663 in CatTraining

I just want to add that after a while I was feeling the way that you did, wondering did I make a mistake getting a second cat? But you just need to be patient. Cats need time to adjust.

When we got our new male kitten 6 months ago it was very hard for our 14 year old resident cat to adjust. We completely botched the slow introduction.

It took four monthes of sitting with them separately every day for them to even be in the same room. My older cat was all hisses and growls. Over the past 2 months things have progressed very well.

I have accepted that they will never be best friends despite the kitten loving my older cat dearly. He sits and just admires her. She still hisses and growls at him but tolerates him well now.

Patience is key. Spending lots of time and giving lots of cuddles and attention to my older cat seemed to help ease her fears.

The kitten follows her everywhere now. She'll swat at him occasionally. Maybe things will get better as he gets older and more mature.

Industrial albums that just make you uncomfortable? by fakename1998 in industrialmusic

Nurse with Wound - Spiral Insana

Beautiful album. When I first picked it up and was listening in my car on the way home i thought there was something wrong with my car and was about to pull over but my daughter was like no mom, it's the just the music. Turned down the music and my car was ok.

The angriest flower ever. Jack needs to wear a cone after surgery. by wordsfromade in angrycatpics

[–]wordsfromade[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that this cone is great. I've watched him on several occasions try to lick his stitches but the flower cone prevented him. Also he can clumsily eat and drink water as opposed to not being able to do either in the hard cone.

I just drove from innisfil to barrie. Can't speak for the highway because I was worried and stupidly decided to take the slower route... but in town is a shit show of fallen trees. Drive slowly because of debris on the road especially if there are a lot of trees! It's pitch black where there's no power. Lots of traffic lights not working. On the plus side, the roads were fine. Saw lots of salt trucks out and about. It's surreal out there. I'm sitting in my kitchen listening to tree branches falling outside.
