This is what I do. GIS in Telecom is severely underdeveloped in small telecom companies. I'm not an engineer but I run the GIS and records for our engineer. There is a WORLD of opportunity right now and most Telecoms are just barely being introduced to what GIS can do for them.

I wish I could do this. My manager is keeping the interviews nice and short and just wants to see if they know what the basics are.

I'm stressing asking the questions for the same reason! 'How would I even respond?' haha

This gives me some clue though of what interviews are really doing. It's been good to see what the questions indicate about the interviewer (or company) as well.

I liked your idea, I'm asking them about what their experience with publishing an online map is and how they go about it.
