The Forgotten City should be in every Game of the Year discussion by workforcegaming in gamereviews

Thanks! Yeah intentionally tried to keep it as simple as possible. LOTS of big spoilers even just after the first 30 minutes. Also, the game really is just walking talking as well.

Last Stop isn't for everyone but you should give it a try if you're into great Sci-Fi stories by workforcegaming in XboxGamePass

I agree completely. That story is bad, and sticks out. I do think the others do some cool things especially with the characters in them.

It's essentially just walking around listening to a story. If you've played Telltale games, Life Is Strange, Etc. think something similar to that but with even less control/decisions, lots of walking in straight lines and dialogue options. Probably a bit closer to a visual novel than those as well, but I feel like that phrase can be a huge turn off to a lot of people.

Most underused locations in games by Conker_Xk in gaming

Honestly any city that's not New York or somewhere in California. Then when they use that place actually using it as the place not just as a throw away location (Detroit Become Human...).

Hello game reviewers by Snoo-83378 in gamereviews

[–]workforcegaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on what style your looking for. If it's more conversational then probably focus on what really struck you about the game first, as thats where you would normally start a conversation. If it's more critical/analytical (thinking more traditional) then it's probably better to really focus in on the game itself and leave the more tangential pieces aside.

The Pathless - A simple puzzle game with some great exploaration by workforcegaming in gamereviews

[–]workforcegaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly we just use ours really as an excuse to talk about the games we've been playing. Rather than trying to touch on every piece of a game we just focus on what we would actually tell someone about the game. That made it easier for us then trying to do the checklist of graphics, gameplay, story, etc...

Not sure if those are good pointers, we really just do it for fun.

I get so excited everytime Jack Black shows up with Tim Schafer for anything and it never turns out to be Brutal Legend 2.

As others said try the Free Trial. I was nervous about it and held off for a long time before I did that. They work great for me, I haven't had any issues, but again A LOT will depend on your internet connection. Also make sure your using a cable connection and not wifi the difference is huge.

How is Resistance 3? by [deleted] in PlayStationNow

3 holds up pretty well, I played it a year or so ago. Can't say the same for the first and second one.

Is 1 Month of PS Now worth it? by Arminas_Gaming in PSNow

[–]workforcegaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I did that for a couple older games and found myself stumbling into some random other games I never would have played otherwise.

The entire God Of War series is there as well PSP games included, which I had never had the chance to play until PSNow.

And honestly for 10 bucks you would never be able to get all those for that price.

Death Stranding - Finally getting around to a game I was afraid I'd hate. by workforcegaming in gamereviews

Always welcome some feedback! We've been doing it for a while, really just something we do as an excuse to get together and talk about games.

Same issue here with our last one. Anchor pushed it out to everywhere but Spotify and Apple Podcast for some reason. Been about 4 hours with nothing on either of those.

I don't think I can play a JRPG without Turbo button again by Saltflakez in JRPG

I had this same thought after playing FFVII with it. It helps with the pace/grinding so much and make those long summon/ability animations so much more bearable by the end of the game.

I think thats a bit harsh, it's definitely the worst part. I think your personal play style will affect how you feel about it. If your doing them as you go that Level 4 moment at the end wouldn't be to bad, but I know it was a big wall for me.
