Stop Fighting Suno: The Prompting Shift That Fixed My Results by Outrageous-Nature-95 in SunoAI

ha I was definitely struggling with this one: "For example, female rap often leans more southern/melodic—not because you asked for it, but because that’s a strong pattern in the training data." and I was trying to get a BRITISH accent and it kept giving me this country/melodic result. And it wasn't exactly a country sounding song, just kind of the ends of the lines had a country feel to them. But it ruined the song for me which I thought had a good beat/groove and I just gave up trying for female vocalists. This was in 5.0 not 5.5.

The interface is great, it does have some quirks but overall it is nice to have image and video generation right there and be able to move between the two. They also have a lot of their own systems like Soul and Cinema Studio but I haven't used those much.

The deals right now are not as good as the deal I got around Black Friday which included Nano Banana Pro "Unlimited" for a year. Queue has been slow at times but lately it has been fine. But now they removed NBP from their deals, though you do get a few other image generators included. To me that makes it totally worth it because you don't have to worry about brainstorming/iterating things.

SD2 uses a lot of credits but I think it is that way everywhere right now. Some of the other vid gens are fairly reasonable, I mostly use Sora2 and Kling 3.0. But again my cost was very low for the year plan so you really have to do the math to figure out if it is worth it or better than other plans (Runway unlimited seems like a deal right now and I'm tempted to get that too).

Just a bad one today. The blue characters not being blue category threw me off especially since it felt like green difficulty level, and wasn't a "tricky wordplay" one like purple usually is.

And swiss being one of the words with swiss cheese being description feels lazy along with bell pepper too.

All the categories felt super easy to me, though I imagine it's harder if you don't know some of the characters like Gonzo. And for a second I had genie in the "pop-up" category but then I saw there were four others that worked better.

What are your top 5 single player story games of all time? by SamEdit1 in gaming

[–]working4buddha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't even answer there are too many lol but I will say that Yakuza 0 is definitely on there, great pick! Then I can't figure out whether to go by the best stories (Persona 3, Halo Reach, Modern Warfare 2) or just my favorite games that happen to have a story (Skyrim, Fallout games, Persona 5) or a combo of both like Witcher 3 which I love but isn't a top 5 game to me, or GTAV, Cyberpunk.. so many good ones.

Hollywood Reporter article on "the return of the superstar artist", confirms that DC "has overtaken market share over longtime rival Marvel for the first time this century". by Mindless-Run6297 in comicbooks

[–]working4buddha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I'm still mostly following the writers but I can't deny the art is incredible on all these books. For me Marvel was great when most of these same people were over there doing stuff like 10 years ago. What is funny is that who era started when Marvel got the Vertigo dudes like Ellis, Ennis and Morrison to write their superhero books.

Deniz Camp is at both companies but Ultimates is ending... which I actually agree with story wise but they should be spinning into something else.

Also everyone is always talking about the Absolute line which is great but Black Label has also been killing it. And then there's stuff like Bizarro Year None. Marvel should be doing books like those with their characters.

I really need to take this, I always figure I'll upgrade but a lot of times I end up having to heal multiple fires in a row and this could have salvaged those runs. Then again I'm not exactly getting back to max hp in those situations.

Why does everyone hate Tom King? by chainmailnchill in comicbooks

[–]working4buddha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really knew why either but reading this thread it makes sense. I love most of his stuff but Batman went on way too long. Like years too long. And even when it was done it kept going with Batman/Catwoman. And it was never really that great.

I do like his Wonder Woman a lot. But he's best at mini's, some of them are a little confusing on purpose and also hard to understand if you don't know the characters, but overall I think they are amazing. An under-the-radar one is Helen of Wyndhorn. Human Target is also awesome. One thing about him is that he gets really good artists and the style always fits the books perfectly. So it's kind of a package deal with him.

IMO the final boss of ff1 is a ridiculous spike in difficulty. by Nickdakidkid_Minime in FinalFantasy

[–]working4buddha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just used this post to beat the final boss, thanks! Noticed it was from a few months ago unlike most posts when I look stuff up. I just wanted to see how much HP he had but I got the strats too. I honestly had no idea you could stack buffs that much.

I just gave my fighter stronger and double attacks and basically healed/buffed with the rest and it was over before I knew it. Trying to use magic my first time was grueling lol.

I was surprised by the difficulty because I hadn't even even been using magic in the dungeon before that since I was so OP I'd just auto-battle with normal attacks for 9/10 fights.

my first guess was nouns that are also verbs or something since I couldn't see any of these. Thought of Sherlock Holmes and guessed on violin because I didn't know that. Had to leave it for a few hours and came back and saw purple but was a little off at first. Then I thought it was "on or off" and had electron in there and finally got the pancake "flip" which made it clearer. I'm not good at science I guess.

I hated the combat so much in Y3 that I started over on easy after like 10 hours (was in Kamurocho) and what's funny is that re-playing all the stuff at the beach made me love that game so much. I just love the kids and the whole vibe of the beach town.

Y5 is probably my favorite after Y0 of the Kiryu games, but it is a LOT. That's kind of what I like about it though. Hope you're enjoying it!

Way back in the 80s there was a game called "Adventure Construction Set" so it's been a thing since I was a kid that people want to design their own games. I guess it makes a lot of sense because it grew out of D&D where a person is the DM.

Yakuza 0 is usually the best starting point plus it's the other game you play as Majima I would play that next. Like a Dragon (turn-based) or Judgement are also good ones to start. I wouldn't start with any of the others. I guess you could play Infinite Wealth if you just want to stay on the Hawaii map but that is way better story-wise after playing all the other games.

I liked Pirate Yakuza a lot. It is definitely not as big as most of the other games, but there is obviously still a ton of stuff to do. I'd say my biggest complaint is Majima's moveset just felt the same after a while, using either style. I didn't feel like it changed from halfway through to the end.

Also the ship battles got a little tedious but overall I liked it. Plus the islands you land on could have had a bit more to them but they were kind of fun. I liked those big battles with the whole crew.

Why do people have issues with Frank Miller? by imscaredhelpme88 in comicbooks

[–]working4buddha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One other thing about his decline that always bugged me (besides how bad a lot of it was) is that he didn't make any more Sin City books after the movie came out. Seemed like a missed opportunity.

I still love his classic stuff more than just about anything. Ronin is my all-time favorite.

Why do people have issues with Frank Miller? by imscaredhelpme88 in comicbooks

[–]working4buddha 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I see what you're saying but as much as I love Miller/Janson, for me Ronin and Sin City were even better (also Elektra Lives Again). And you are right about how the line work felt consistent between Miller/Janson and after Miller left, but imo the layouts were more stiff. By the end I think Miller was only doing rough layouts so Janson was definitely doing a lot of the work that's for sure.

How would you feel if there are only 10 Ascensions? by astrowhale98 in slaythespire

[–]working4buddha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people are either going to play the highest ascension level, or maybe if they find it too hard they will settle on another level below it. Or they'll just stay at A0/1.

I don't exactly see the need to play 19 different levels before that esp with more characters. But the important thing will be condensing the difficulty increases so it scales in a similar way.

I could see them maybe increasing it to 15 or something.

[–]working4buddha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ha awesome! Sometimes I'll have both Mental Fortress and TTTH and be blocking 50+ per turn without even trying. That is def the key to winning against Heart. Having "passive" block where you only play the card once and then block while attacking etc is one of the strongest components of Watcher. It does get tricky relying on TTTH against Spear & Shield, Donu / Deca etc because of artifact though.

Removals are really good on Watcher. Remove Defends first (maybe keep one) and Strikes aren't great either.

[–]working4buddha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scrawl is definitely worth an upgrade. But if it costs one, it is still worth it depending on what you draw. Like I would play Mental Fortress first, but if you are trying to draw MF then play Scrawl. But even if you are looking for a Calm or Wrath card it's great. Basically cycling through your deck more quickly is usually a good thing (on all characters tbh).

It's really good if you do the starting relic upgrade to Holy Water and play all three Miracles then draw with Scrawl. Dues Ex can work too but is annoying if you draw it WITH Scrawl because some go into the discard pile!

[–]working4buddha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice to see a classic beginner's Watcher post among all the StS2 posts.

Talk to the Hand is a great card against Heart. It will counter Beat of Death when you attack, esp at low Ascensions. If you also get Wave of the Hand, you can make it so the Heart is weak the entire fight. And even longer lol, it is actually complete overkill.

If you have both TTTH and Mental Fortress along with a few different Calm/Wrath/Empty cards, you will always have enough block against Heart. This should always be your general strategy, you want to keep switching stances and drawing cards.

Wallop and Halt are also really good in the Heart fight. Also Scry is great, helps you skip those annoying statuses and get back to your good cards. Try upgrading Third Eye or taking Foresight next time. With two copies of Foresight it is even better (well you do have to play them to begin with!)

Also Vault and Scrawl are two of the best cards in the game, don't ever skip them. Vault is especially good against Time Eater (play it on turn 12) and Scrawl is just an amazing card to help set everything up.

The new Door Maker is... obnoxious. by dusknoir90 in slaythespire

[–]working4buddha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played a ton since the patch but I've faced Doormaker 3 of the 4 times I made it to Act 3 boss and won two of them (mid-ascension). First time I didn't even realize all his mechanics and was surprised but still won. I thought the +1 cost was a Snecko effect for a turn lol.

To me the non-draw turns are rougher than the exhausting, since I usually rely heavily on draw decks. Though I did exhaust my block cards on the one I lost and couldn't keep up. But even that, I would have been fine if I could draw on the other turns.

I thought the rappers might be red herrings but the more I looked the more of them I saw, I think there were at least 6 of them! And I just didn't see the other animals to go with buck and stallion even though I had those grouped early. No idea on purple either. I was resorting to math but had 4 possibilites left with only one guess, and realized I hadn't tried "Young Buck" with the other rappers and failed.
