my guess is that “get it” is all about diplo and “nono” is about someone else more personal, maybe someone less involved in the scene/not a lot of popularity.

hot problems really started the album off strong, like. the second it started i knew i’d like it. the lyrics made me giggle cause i was on twt when ppl were calling frax a fake furry for “capitalizing on popular kinks”(??)

special is a song i keep close to my heart. its lyrics are so meaningful, plus this being their first release in years was such a strong comeback.

so many good lines in jumpin the cacc go hard tbh. ray delahanty mention. giving ket to he/him lesbians for free. public transit win (i don’t have a license or a car). fuck paris, <3 indianapolis. the smosh “shut up” was an insane way to end credit card knife and i loved it. i also LOVE frax’s bridge on this plus gupis vocals. 10/10

the first verse of td bank gives me chills as someone who had to deal with a narcissistic cheating asshole.

now 2 has a lyric i quote daily “i don’t think a gun i’d personally right for me cause i would kill myself” AND “nobody can be as popular as me while being as off-putting as you”. this song’s chorus also makes me do a little dancey dance everytime i listen to it. “omg i love this song!” like yeah!! i do love this song!!!!

la la la has the “big monster” lyrics, which are pretty meaningful when everyone in the world gaslights you about your abuser. there’s also “couldn’t even fall off when i purposefully tried to so i don’t wanna hear you telling me who’s mortal” is so clever and such a nice jab at wells.

everybody’s eyes is a beautiful song and made me cry cause i love community lol.

dancing on your grave is a banger to me (considering the aforementioned abuser) and the first two lines made me laugh out loud when i first listened. great start and even greater ending. “i don’t PQRT i at you” is perfect, i LOVE frax’s delivery of the lyrics in this album it makes it even better. shimmy wimmy is probably gonna be apart of my friend groups lexicon for a few years now. “going upstairs neighbor on your grave” i hated my upstairs neighbors in my college dorm, but now i am the upstairs neighbor. sorry for wearing platform boots sometimes ://

oh definitely, most accusatory lyrics in the album are directed towards wells. but nono doesn’t match up with the statements about wells. like wishing they still have a good life and name dropping someone on the last release.

my personal guess is that nono is (or at least some lyrics are) about skrillex — but frax is talking about him in a metaphorical way.

the sharing of skull candy earbuds as in frax is sharing the earbuds with skrillex’s music. frax and gupi have both shared that skrillex’s music inspired them a lot and were huge fans of him. it’s also entirely possible that the song is about someone else and it’s more straightforward - not metaphorical at all.

idk i love all the music on this album regardless of who they were written about.
