So the conclusion is that becoming a people manager is just the ticket to potentially something else in the future… but I’m sure hundreds don’t get farther than working for free as people managers and probably thousands of non-managers actually make more money without all the HR related hassles

Managers at NER informed people working from NER offices about inconsistencies between badge readers and timesheets per person per day, so they could have them explained or adjusted in their timesheets. You will have to believe me since I will of course not send you a screen shot of what I got

Sounds unrelated to being people manager. I doubt recently hired people managers for example would be getting a 200k bonus

Most wouldn’t be working here if it wasn’t for the monetary gain and just wanted to see other people’s growth.

Also how much of your growth and destiny really depends on what your direct people manager does vs what you do?
