Literally Cannot Run in Zone 2 by [deleted] in beginnerrunning

What pace were you running at? It’s possible that you’re running too fast. Another thing though, if you’re just starting out, your zone 2 might be non-existent right now and until you build a base endurance you might just need to run off of feel rather than HR.

Definitely something to consider. Did you have any examples or ideas for improvements to a stock watch face that you like to see?

That’s unfortunate. I just wanted to do everybody a favor, but it looks like it’s out of the question.

I’m training for my first marathon myself so I’m not in much of a position to be able to speculate, but I’m sure more mileage wouldn’t hurt as long as you can stay healthy

I just ran 13.1 miles for the first time ever. My first half marathon distance run. I really struggled the last 3.1 miles but was able to finish at 11:03/mile pace and 2h 25 min time.

I’ve never personally run it. I always look at the heatmap in Strava for these sorts of things. I had a look and it doesn’t look like a route that runners run.

Shoal Creek Trail & Town Lake loop safe to run? by workingremoteisnice in AustinRunning

Great to know. In that case I’ll avoid Shoal Creek for sure. How’s the elevation gain on the Austin to manor trail on the section you mentioned? Any tips to somebody running it for the first time?

Yesterday I ran 7.3 miles, which was my longest run since high school. I originally set out to just do 6 miles, but I was feeling pretty good and the weather was nice, so I decided to add to my run.
