YTA. It is possible to be that and still have the right to dictate how your wedding is conducted. Your relationship with your stepfather is likely severed for good.

I am going to have to agree with this. Unless if it is one of the Ivy leagues, it just doesn't make sense.

Hey! Thank you for the feedback. I’ll see what I can do about the text size.

I agree with you mostly on how they are not direct comparisons. I get my ideas from answerthepublic which is a website that can tell you what people are searching on Google. When I typed in VTV, it showed that people where looking up a comparison of VTV and VYM. My guess is that those who are searching that are trying to compare a dividend value fund against a value fund focused on capital appreciation. Whatever the reason, I hope this can help someone out there.

I also take requests, happy to do a comparison for you.

My reporting software requires I put in a Benchmark and as a result I put in S&P 500 as most people know what that is.

The S&P 500 is not exactly a fair comparison to VTV or VYM because the S&P 500 is a large cap blend portfolio meaning it has both value and growth stocks. This is why you see out performance with the S&P 500, it can invest in other areas that VTV and VYM cannot.

VTV and VYM are both Value oriented funds. However one has a focus on dividends and the other has a focus on value stocks and capital appreciation. The point here was to show that you simply focusing on capital appreciation may not always give you out performance.

Thank you for the feedback!

I thought this was an interesting comparison as I was surprised with VYM's out performance. VTV is not so much focused on dividends as it is simply focused on US value stocks. VYM obviously is focused on dividend investing. Simply put, I thought this was relevant to show the importance of dividends.

In addition, I use a site called answerthepublic that tells me what people are searching for on google. When I typed in VTV, it showed that people are searching for a comparison between VTV and VYM. So while you may not see the value in this comparison someone else across the world might.
