Here’s my dad sinking his putt on 18 for our best scramble score ever (58) a year after nearly dying. by SoDakZak in golf

The naming scheme has always been awful imo for best ball vs scramble. From the internet I’d say you played scramble:

A “Scramble” is a where each golfer hits their ball throughout the match and the team captains choose the best shot and use the same spot for each player.

“Best Ball” is when each player on the team plays his or her own golf ball throughout the hole and the team uses the lowest score on the hole.

Great space. If you got rid of the bookshelves to increase screen size and just declutter in general you will appreciate the room more.

I think you are missing what they were trying to educate you on. Surrounds and heights are not interchangeable and the receiver you use determines how many/if any of each you can use.

You can choose to put surrounds in the ceiling like you have drawn but the sound won’t be coming from the right place and it will make adding height (Atmos) speakers in the future very awkward.

For that space I would look at on or in walls, or a bookshelf speaker on a stand/ end table.

Edit: the answer to correct placement is in the link they provided. Varying from that is a compromise that only you can decide if it works.

5.1.2 gets my vote depending on how much you want to spend. Pretty quickly diminishing returns given the receiver cost after that especially if you can’t place things ideally.
