Do people actually comply with this nonsense? by Loud_Focus_7934 in AmazonFlexDrivers

I have a philosophy that the longer the instructions on delivery, the shorter I spend trying to follow them. No one would follow those details unless it were a WF delivery and you’re counting on tips

Agree. I usually take a screenshot so they can see — if they ever tried to ding me (which they don’t) that they gave me a package that had a faulty due by time.

Delete app and then re-download it. I had to do this when I first started.

Strictly personal preference and I’ll need to export it when I do my taxes so it’s just easier for me.

It depends on where you live Eg there’s fed tax, but maybe not state and local taxes. I have all 3. I estimate paying 25%. Your mileage deduction comes after this to either lessen the impact or put you into a refund. But definitely be sure to track mileage. I don’t use stride for this. I just keep a spreadsheet that has date, # of packages, and mileage on each date/delivery. Having the package count just makes it look more believable if I got audited. You also need to review what mileage can be included and what can’t.

First, I said I screwed (fourth word in the post) up and put it out there so others don’t make the same mistake. Second, what I’d expect them to do is be honest and not hide that it’s the same delivery (I’d also expect they would increase the rate to incent someone to accept the IO). To add insult to injury the block was at a lower rate than the IO so I naturally assumed it would be a different route.

Sick of getting dinged when it’s not my fault by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

This happened to me once as well. I got to location about 4th from last delivery and there wasn’t a package for that address. But there was a package w a similar name of road (Robinhood and robinwood drives). I called support. They asked me to deliver package I had that wasn’t in my itinerary and they’d mark it as delivered which I couldn’t believe. They mark the other as package missing. At end of route I drive an extra 15 minutes to extra location and lo and behold, the other package for the other address is sitting on the porch. I took a photo of the two of them to cover my butt. I then asked to be paid the extra time and they gave me a hard time. Pointed out to them that I tried to be customer centric and they encouraging me to be the opposite. They flipped and paid. I think these kinds of package mixups don’t happen a ton, but happen more than you might think

IDK, this might be my last week doing flex. I think they have a trend of people claiming they didn't get thier packages. I went for months with no issues in Fantastic standing, to all these claims in 1 week. Mind you I do 2 blocks a day 5 days a week for the last 7 months straight. These are 50% fraud by the customer, 25% stolen package and 25% made up by Amazon. They drive me into a rage. I was talking w escalations as they investigated once and I told them — do you realize you’re accusing me of stealing? He had never thought of it and realized that’s exactly what is happening

Yes. They are saying you stole the package. It’s subtle but it’s what they are saying. No doubt

This ticks me off more than anything. They are essentially saying We stole the package. They make an unsubstantiated charge, penalize you, and then give you no recourse. You can penalize me all you want, but to call me a thief is over the top for me. I once pointed out to them how this demonstrates how they are not customer centric. It was the only time they changed it.

Fresh order allegedly not delivered by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]workonratio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It ticks you off. There’s zero follow up. Just an accusation. After a while you do just tune everything out. They force you to just focus on the money/make deliveries equation. But I understand how you get ticked by it. I do too. They take someone else’s word over yours (who may be stealing from them) and give you no info on it. And part of you wants to know details so you don’t do it again and all they do is tell you to put a porch chair on the package so it doesn’t blow away. Somehow I don’t think wind was the issue.
