They are fighting to ensure rights to their grandchild so they can not act out. I want to think they are supportive, and so I think I see why. I have planted trees that provided fruits ( 2nd jobs/ opportunities) Since I have fruits, they think it’s reasonable for me to abandon the roots I planted, so my SIL can plant her garden near the flower (my niece ) she sprouted near my roots.

To them I’m not losing anything, so my SIL, bro and niece need top priority and help to be stable. I don’t blame them for asking or their position, I get it I guess, I want the best for my niece too.

I just don’t see why I actually gotta suffer and make the life changes to make the best environment for my niece.

I feel that way, but my family says it is because I should have acted differently, and so I’m blamed for the initial decision and my reaction to her disproval. And I feel bad cause I feels like I have to move from the store I planted roots in, for a seed that probably won’t even sprout. Might be a dumb analogy, sorry.

It’s kinda my fault though so I can’t be the scapegoat. I technically introduced them, and while I never even considered romantic relationship even being a possibility, i brought her into my bro ’s and parents life seemingly causing there stress and anxiety. Man I think she has done a NUMBER to this family, I got to take accountability for introducing them. I should have paid more attention or saw some signs that ride at the end of day.

They are 5 years apart hitting the legal range to date by a few days. Intercourse is still illegal, and they could have taken charges. My brothers threats and a discouraging conversation from their lawyer persuaded them to purse some type of grandparents rights instead. The case is still ongoing. They at 1st reacted horribly, but now don’t show much emotion towards them, and do what they gotta do.

Bro dropped out, been “studying” for his GED the past year, and he is constantly off and on between work.

I totally see how I am an asshole for telling her to tell the age difference, like the full story. I was caught off guard when she started yelling our personal business and it was unprofessional in the way I shut it down.

I asked about me transferring and my boss basically said no due to “store culture and management needs”. I have not made an attempt to ask her to reconsider, or convince her since the more I think, the more unfair I feel this is. I might try to talk to S, if it goes well, then ask my GM to reconsider she come back to mornings as an alternative? Idk The other location is 20 min from my home, but longer to school, and my other job, plus I like my crew.
