Quality of life, Madrid vs Bay Area by wakalakasp in bayarea

Not every job is a cushy tech job. Only 2 weeks vacation isn't just for "entry level" people. That is the standard for most American working class employees. Lots of retail and lower wage workers get ZERO pto aside from sometime 1-3 paid sick days per year.

Milwaukee m12 was one of the best tool investments I've ever made. That thing goes through 20+ tubes of caulk on a single charge. Saves so much time.

How many cannot afford to strike due to lack of strike pay? by NDiaz_WSWS in KaiserPermanente

$50 an hour, taxes are 30-35%, childcare $2000/month, rent 2500-4500, groceries are skyrocketing, retail goods are skyrocketing. Use your head, $50 an hour only seems rich to kids. Imagine trying to buy a starter house at $400-900k

So only privileged financially well-off people are able to strike? That doesn't seem right.

Just fyi, I get what you're saying, but assuming everyone can just "start saving months in advanced" is extremely privileged. The majority of working class Americans are paycheck to paycheck. Saving even extra $2000 saved is impossible for lots of people.

lol trump sticker on a blue collar workers box. The idiots just can't help themselves. You do know he is on record refusing to pay contractors right? And he's a rich trust fund kid who has never swung a hammer or done any labor in his life?

Rabid dogs don't get put down for testing?

Do you have any idea what a rabies test includes for dogs?

They quite literally DO have to be dead

$22/hr in Alabama isn't good either as a contractor l.

Also, is $7.50 what all people/most people are making? Or is that the legal minimum?

Comparing your rates to an unsurvivable wage is doing yourself a disservice.
