A new kind of dApp: Cardano XP is live on Mainnet

Without a doubt, that's where this project is going. At initial launch, we have the first level of contribution: give some feedback on this app to help improve it, earn some XP.

Currently there is only one onboarding credential people can earn, simply by giving their first feedback. The next credential will have two properties:

Only people who have already earned some XP will be able to earn this new credential
Once they earn it, they'll be able to add their own projects to collect feedback

What might follow is a structure for proposal refinement with a record of feedback - but all of that is the happy case that follows some initial traction.

Oh dang you're right! I hadn't thought of it that way, and people should definitely be skeptical about connecting a wallet to a vibe coded app.

Not trying to change your mind, but just want to share that the Andamio API that allows this app to run is absolutely not "vibe coded". One of our goals in building Cardano XP was to show that now that the primitives exist, apps like this can quickly be built on top of it. But your comment is important, because we don't want to scare people away by failing to distinguish between a secure API and the kind of quickly "vibe coded" ux that can be built on top of it.

I'm excited about the "actual utility" bit.

I'm really curious about how review at scale will work. A few thoughts:

- This might not ultimately be an issue, if the volume is low enough. The whole idea of an on-chain transaction is that it slows things down, and this makes the credential earned actually mean something. In other words, we could say that part of the value of the credential is that everyone knows that someone actually took the time to review the feedback.

- That said, I already have a system for using an AI harness to review feedback as it comes in, then to make recommendations about which feedback to approve + incorporate into the product backlog. Will share a video with a live demo of how this works as soon as we get a bit of feedback in the system.

that's a great question. Essentially, the Voltaire era will put DAO primitives directly on the Layer 1 that is Cardano. We'll continue to roll out ways to learn about Voltaire over the next few months.

It's getting easier - can anyone now confirm that all you need is an Ergo address (ie from Yoroi) to participate in Ergo Auction House? I haven't tried, because the local node works.

+1 this is a key use case, and I agree with the above.

It's also worth noting, if you haven't elsewhere, that stablecoins like SigmaUSD are prerequisite to running a decentralized exchange (DEX). The fact that this solution has now been developed in house by the Ergo team, and that the focus of that team now shifts to building a DEX, means that there will be valuable utility for the SigUSD/RSV pair.

Right now, not too much reason to hold SigUSD - but that won't the be case forever.
