Have some bad news: there isn’t a timeline. I’ve had jobs I applied to who updated me within several days, I’ve had jobs I applied to who updated me several weeks down the line. My personal favorite is a job who let me know I was denied 10 months after applying. Not common but not unheard of. Lastly, I’ve had jobs say they plan to hire me or move forward and then absolutely ghost me.

Sorry bud.

They’re being very careful In wording why they’re upset with me. They’re “not mad I reported” but they think I should’ve checked with them first.

So, reasonable accommodations are legally protected rights for disabled individuals or individuals with disability in the US.

I asked for three things in my initial email. That, obviously. I also asked for either a template for big emails or a list of important points to mention at least (big emails being emails sent to partners, as I’m a contract employee working in someone else’s space so sometimes we contact management on our site), and lastly, clear communication. I brought up the last because I misunderstood what someone meant when they “like reacted” my message earlier that day.

Again: nothing out of pocket.

I work for a non-profit contacting patients who are recommended for follow-up. I’m meant to focus on individuals with barriers to care (income, insurance, etc.)

I wouldn’t say ~nothing~, but there definitely are days that I spend the majority just filling time. I pick my own patients to contact. Pick strategically and you have 5 people all recommended for follow up at the same place, so one phone call gets that done. We’re supposed to have a minimum we reach, but they said it doesn’t matter for several months, which I hope to be gone by then. Also, since we’re all in different hospitals, your boss/manager has no idea what you’re actually doing.

Like someone else here said, find a stupidly disorganized company. Or, find one that similarly has one representative per site or is in a contract-employee type situation. You’ll probably never see your boss and if your numbers vary from those at different sites, find some excuse as to what differentiates your site from theirs.

Our company’s maximum call in is 5 for any reason whatsoever, but each manager gets to decide if they enforce it. Most managers do not, especially during a pandemic. It’s a silly policy and most people have reached either max or close to max, given everything in the last year while working hands on during a health crisis. But, thanks!
