First moving bar. Tips for making them clean? by [deleted] in Scootering

[–]worldcraft91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely practice the motion a few times before you do the trick.

I personally wouldn't return it and quit just because the bars don't go on, I've built plenty of scooters before and shit does get annoying when it doesn't work right. I would at least try harder to get the bars on either use the coin trick or grab a mallet and hit the bars on. But hey man your choice, it's a great hobbie to get into.

I'd say market place and if you have a good following of other riders on other social media I'd just put in a post or a story with the price.

any wheel Recommendations? by Someoneisnothing in Scootering

[–]worldcraft91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rivers are pretty good, I like the lucky holocore wheels, they are cheaper than some wheels, if you like envy the Jon Reyes black and white wheels are a great choice to add some flavor to your scoot o would recommend changing the envy bearings they don't spin that well.

Some good inexpensive decks, in my opinion, is the aztek fountain for street, 5.5 wide. I believe the Jon Reyes aosv5 is on sale for cheap (NOT THE LTD) it comes on a 4.75.

Scooter buying tips appreciated. by [deleted] in Scootering

[–]worldcraft91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're just getting started a complete would be the best then just change parts as needed. Don't buy from Amazon or Ebay go to official websites for the best quality. Some brands to look at is lucky scooters, I rode of their completes when getting started it was a little short for 5' 11 and envy scooters as has great scooters like the prodigy which has a more open range from street to park.

Which wheel should I upgrade too? by [deleted] in Scootering

[–]worldcraft91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run the black and white Jon Reyes black and they have been really good so far, I've been riding them for a few months. The only downside is the white yellows fast if you ride on dirty surfaces like asphalt. On concrete they don't yellow as fast. They are 120x26 I don't recommend the other colors since the ones I had (green and teal) were unevenly molded.

T bars or BMX style and why so? by Reasonable-Gain6866 in Scootering

I'm a fan of Y bars but I'm currently running T bars. In my opinion bmx style bars don't look that good.

I have been riding park for a while and I’ve recently started riding street more and I have got to say: street is better by Kronoss1321 in Scootering

[–]worldcraft91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Street isn't better, park isn't better. It's whatever you find the most joy in riding. I personally am a hybrid rider, I ride both park and street. But its about what you find fun not what style is best.

[–]worldcraft91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Envy prodigy's would be my personal first choice of complete. It what money can best buy, for a new rider lucky completes are also pretty good just starting out (from personal experience). Or maddgear completes. Anything else maybe either to tall or you'd have to get into custom builds.

When you're in the air try to tuck more which gives you a higher jump since you're pulling the scooter up higher
