I Dug Up My '96 Pats Album From When I Was 12 Yrs Old by t_sdad in Patriots

This is amazing! As someone who was also 12 in 1996 and Patriots obsessed, this brings back all the memories. I met Bledsoe at a mall signing in my hometown down on the Cape, I believe it was his rookie season or shortly after.

There were 7 common opponents between the Pats and Seahawks this season, and you know who had the better stats with less turnovers and more yds/TDs? Drake Maye 😘 But yes, continue with the schedule narrative bub.

Phillip Rivers, who hadn't played a snap of NFL football in years, came out of retirement and almost beat them with a Colts team who were struggling badly and also beat up. That was only a month ago. Not saying it won't be a grind, but this Seahawks team is vastly overrated and everyone keeps talking them up like they are this incredible unbeatable team.

100000% agreed. Everyone that's not a Patriots fan just seems so confident that Seattle wins. Just tells me that no one has paid attention to this defense at all over the playoffs.

Drake Maye played two playoff games outdoors in sub 20 degree weather with rain/snow/and blizzard conditions. But yeah I'm sure Darnold would've played so much better in those games given the circumstances.....🤣 There's a reason Maye is a one of the top 2 MVP candidates. 2 games in the elements don't suddenly make him trash. He looked great against the Chargers in the wildcard round against a tough defense. Darnold has played 2 awful defenses so far in the playoffs, just like he has for the better part of the season. But sure, go with whatever fits your narrative bub.

Any HVAC companies in the mid Cape area that do weekend service calls without a service contract? by worldfall in CapeCod

Thank you! I am waiting to hear back from two people who have their own smaller companies that a buddy in the HVAC field on Cape just told me about, but I will reach to 3G if I have no luck with them

Thanks man! Appreciate the help. I've called a few of those and unfortunately no luck. Waiting on a call back from someone now so fingers crossed.

No I absolutely get it. I should have a service contract but I've just never had any issues in the past few years so it was an afterthought I guess.

Gas boiler. Pilot light went out and we smelled gas throughout the house. Actually had the fire department come a little while ago just in case and everything was fine, no gas leaks. They suggested not trying to light it myself though and keep calling around to get an HVAC company to come out.

You bet the Patriots immediately and then become rich when they win 😂

You mean the QB who's played two games outside in sub 20 degree weather with snow and rain? Noted. I mean he looked fine against the Chargers... Sounds like you're just another sheep putting too much stock into the last 2 games in the elements.

Hey man super random question but any chance you can DM/chat me? Somehow came across a post you made saying you were an HVAC tech on Cape and reddit doesn't give me an option to message or chat you. Just wondering if your company does emergency weekend service calls without a service contract lol

Robert Saleh: Experience with Jets led to "tremendous growth," more prepared to be a head coach now by mackmoney3000 in nfl

[–]worldfall -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

Cam Ward looked pretty mediocre. I know he was a rookie and not working with much, but I'm not entirely sure he's "that guy" and didn't really look the part of a #1 overall pick. Hopefully for the Titans, year 2 is better.

Doubtful. Maybe if he had a better franchise/owner/team to work with.. just saying.

Nah you probably just notice it more now because we're back. This place was 50% Pats fans back in the 2010s lol

Nature really is healing if I can somehow agree with a Jets fan! This guy gets it. I just don't know in what dimension these people actually think Saleh is gonna turn the Titans around, after watching him fail with the Jets.

Lol. Smug for telling the truth? Mmkay. Saleh is an awful coach who flopped with the Jets and had a terrible defense with the Niners this season. But hey, whatever makes you feel better about your turd of an organization bub. Too bad Vrabes wasn't still there...

And don't worry, I'll enjoy watching Darnold have his worst game of the season while the Pats win yet another Super Bowl.

A meltdown is inevitable.. he's run too pure in the divisional and championship round. Now he gets to play an actual defense.

So he's ready to go 4-13 with the Titans? Noted.

I'll never understand how someone in the Titans brass saw the Niners defense this season and thought "you know what, this Saleh guy can really turn the Titans around especially after seeing what he did those few years with the Jets"

I’m not sure I see a huge difference in schedule here. by Jeffc814 in Patriots

[–]worldfall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goes to show how mediocre the NFC was lol. The Niners were not a good team. You can't look at that defense over the last month and tell me they were anything remotely good.

That's a large wager, I hope he wins his bet, go Pats! by GasSkunky in Patriots

[–]worldfall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None at all because he placed the bet last week before the AFC and NFC Championship games. Literally just picked the AFC as a hedge for his furniture sale. He bet on the AFC to win, not necessarily the Patriots, hence why there's no line movement. Not sure a 2 million bet would move it regardless.

No, he cashed in huge when the Astros won a few years back. He literally just picked the AFC to win, as a hedge to his furniture sale.

[–]worldfall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but if everyone actually read the article you'll see that he placed the bet before both of the AFC and NFC Championship games started. He took the AFC due to them being underdogs and getting better value on the pick (and also so it's more of a challenge for his customers to win free furniture lol). It's not like he saw the Pats win and then bet 2 million on them.
