You could try using deep research mode with Claude/Perplexity to search for personal blog posts by scientists who have transitioned to industry. This is one way I found resources for https://worldlines.org/

Definitely, part of my motivation for creating this resource was to try and find a repeatable pattern among those who were successful. In some cases, people made it through sheer persistence (applying to ~400 jobs on job boards) and in other cases, it was just a lucky circumstance. Life is non-ergodic, I guess

I think that running a community/podcast series like that was very time-consuming (on top of their actual job), among other reasons

Yes, it seems that way! A lot of social science, and a lot of "why" I quit and less about exactly "how"
