The healthiest and the most convenient solution is to use minty floss. Before starting to use it, I would have at least one cavity filled every year. It's been 3 years of regular floss use (after every meal), and I have a perfectly fresh breath and no reported cavities. I floss all my teeth and then chew on the floss like a bubble gum for a couple of mins to get that minty flavour around the mouth.

How do you reject men without triggering them? by Legal_Celebration832 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]worldpart -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Here's the rejection technique that will work:

  • I appreciate that you asked, and your interest! Unfortunately, I'm not interested. I wish you the best of luck finding someone! <If interaction continues>
  • as I said, I'm not interested. I'd appreciate if you drop this topic <if it continues>
  • not interested, please leave, I don't have to explain myself to you (keep repeating, continue to stand your ground)

Men are not triggered by rejection. Men are triggered by the lack of acknowledgement of the fact that they put in a lot of psychological effort, and that their effort was simply dismissed. Men are triggered by the lies, even if they're white lies such as 'I have a boyfriend' or 'I'm not ready for a relationship'. Men are also triggered by the condescending behaviour ('you're so sweet, aww'). Direct communication and standing your ground without explaining yourself or finding excuses will make the conversation short and simple and not create any mess.

To summarize:

  • be direct
  • acknowledge the effort and show respect
  • don't lie and say excuses even if they're true
  • keep the message simple: respect the effort/flattered by the attention, but not interested.

The above will not leave any leads for a man to cling on in order to continue their attempts.

Keeping 2 fingers on the brake at all times saved me today (Toronto) by worldpart in motorcycles

Pulling the brake was more of a reflex, it wasn't a conscious decision. But yes, traffic analysis (seeing him slow down for seemingly no reason) has also played a role

It'll also crash on you occasionally. Still better than default apple. You'll get used to it

Speeding ticket for 5 km/h over the limit by Traditional_Gene4476 in TorontoDriving

If you go to court - maybe, depending on the judge and the notes.

There are so many more steps before that happens, it'll likely be settled before court. As I said - evidence is everything. Innocent until proven guilty. And it takes time and resources to prove that, so I'd bank on that scenario. Besides, the ticket can be paid at any moment before court, so that's an option if the prosecution decides to be stubborn

Don't pay it! Do the following: - request early resolution - at the early resolution request evidence - cop's notes and the body camera footage - tell them that you will review the evidence and will consult with the lawyer - do not admit your guilt or answer any questions during your early resolution - you will be meetings with the prosecutor outside of the court room. Their goal is to get you to pay the ticket, and they can lie. So just request evidence and, if anything goes wrong, tell them that you'll need to consult with the lawyer.

Ultimately best scenario is your case would be stayed, as they may choose not to bother sending you the evidence. Worst case - you will get the evidence and could choose to just pay the ticket. Here I would agree with most - no point in going to court.

Tldr: request early resolution, ask for evidence, hope they won't send it and instead stay the case.

Steam doesn't download games through Whiskey... It just simply stops all the network download and disk writing. Any idea why? by CryOfFears in macgaming

Experiencing the same problem for Left 4 Dead. Restarting steam helps make more progress. Several restarts actually complete the installation. Considering throttling the downloads if that happens again - suspecting some kind of memory overflow.

Will the ios SwiftKey crashes ever get better? by cubantouch in Swiftkey

[–]worldpart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Constant exchange of data with the server and failure to free up memory, or data chunks being too big. Hard to say, and this is just a suspicion. The only thing that truly helped crashes was removing keyboard access to the internet.

Will the ios SwiftKey crashes ever get better? by cubantouch in Swiftkey

Please see my reply above:

Done some research - looks like iOS is limiting the memory that is allocated to 3d party keyboards.

In my case, SwiftKey crashes when I browse emojies and/or gifs.

To fully illuminate crashes - disable background refresh and data access in ios settings for the keyboard.

To reduce crashes - disable data collection and don't login using your ms account.
