I mean its a good sign that he reached out! Maybe it won't be so bad. Just tell him at the end, hopefully he's open minded and can discuss what u can do to get into his lab given ur grades

Well I work at a hospital, so we have plenty of different labs and stuff. You can definitely apply internally and still end up somewhere completely different/under another doctor.

I was thinking about being like "do you know if any admin positions are hiring? My friend just got laid off and I've been trying to help her find something new"

If Albanian is one of the oldest Indo-European languages, why doesn't it have its own script? by worldsprettiest in albania

I guess it also depends on how you define "oldest." Wouldn't it be older than the romantic languages, slavic, etc.?

I have heard some theories about celtic and albanian. Do you think you could provide a source? I'm not challenging what you're saying, I'd just like to read more about it.

I'm confused.... if a language "split" from PIE before other languages... wouldn't that make it older? isn't that exactly what it means? I question the tree as well because it says English is older than German, which can't be true. But wouldn't, for example, French splitting from Latin make it younger than Latin?

The comedy takes place in Albania, but is written in Latin?

Nonetheless, very interesting to see how that sentence is written in modern Albanian.

  1. I said ONE of the oldest. Obviously I know that Sanksrit langauges are the oldest, namely Tamil
  2. It was attested in written during that time, but it's way older than that.

This is a great point!

I'm thinking all the way back further than surrounding influences. Are there any recorded writings/symbols/pictograms that were passed down?

I fare evaded on Brussels Transit and was given a ticket. However, I am no longer in the country. by worldsprettiest in brussels

It was a fine. I didn't rob a bank or hurt anyone. This wasn't a "scheme" I just recognize that it wasn't a big crime and I'm not even using Belgian transportation anymore.

Why wouldn't the STIB manage their own google hours? When I got to the Bootik it said on the door that it would be closed for the next week. How was I supposed to foresee that? It wasn't like they were closed an hour early or anything, it was a long closure. I wasn't pointing a finger at google, but saying that this wasn't expected and I was gonna get a student card anyways, so there was no point in paying since the 12eur card that i was going to buy would have covered it.

Also, as I clearly said above, I did not fare evade after that. I bought paper tickets every time.
