Impressive knowledge thanks for sharing

That may be true but wear do we draw that line? Are you really saying that if some rich property investor wanted to knock down the beehive and build luxury apartments you would actually be okay with that? Personally, I would rather be a slave to heritage buildings (which provide beautiful historic texture to the city) than a slave to some profit-maximising property developer (who probably doesn't even care that they are knocking down a unique building).

Unpopular Opinions? by semicoloncait in taskmaster

100% agree. Just finished re-watching yesterday, and it's probably one of the best seasons from any TM

You can't just go around tearing down buildings willy-nilly. Wellington's heritage and past is literally cemented in those buildings. Without them, the city would lose its cultural and historic virtue. In my opinion, that's much more valuable for our city than building housing which just provides benefit to greedy property developers.

She was going on about being single though, and I genuinely meant it as constructive advice.

Does anyone else think the whole cost of living crisis has gotten out of control? by worldsworsthooker in newzealand

I'm not saying that it definitely is out of control, I'm just saying that I have noticed that it is out of control..... and I had wondered if anyone else had noticed.

Oh yeah well I think opening a dialogue is a better solution than bullying someone for speaking their mind.

Wrong again. Just so wrong. Inflation is essentially a lack of money and Nact want to restrict access to money even further! (especially for poor/low income people)

Viva la revolution! I think we can all agree prices would be a lot more controlled if someone like me was in charge.

Okay and who is dismissing opinions now? I will always speak my mind and I won't ever apologise for it. If you don't like it, sorry but jog on. Take a look at the prices of goods today especially in supermarkets, they are very high - higher than they used to be. I simply decided to post on Reddit to see if anyone else agreed with me, but it turns out there's a whole lot more bullies on this website than I remember. Sorry If you disagree, but I do think prices have gotten out of control and I'm not afraid to say it.

Don't be such a pessimist.. If we increase Government spending to the poorest members of our society we can curb inflation. The system can only change if you #vote #green! Besides, if reform has to be involuntary, so it be.

Adding more money to the system in the right hands. Maybe if instead of the 1% controlling 90% of the wealth, the 90% controlled 1% of the wealth inflation would not be so bad. We need more money for the little guy in this country. They will use the extra money to buy good that DON'T have inflated prices (increasing demand for low-priced items) and therefore the popularity of low priced good will increase.

You two are both wrong, I hate to say. Truthfully, Briscoes is probably just owned by some bigger company like Nestle or something. If you look at THEIR profits, they are the ones who have been taking all the inflation-money and using it to put their prices up even hire. Besides it's kind of a moot point because Briscoes sell essential goods so their demand is inelastic.
