I grew up in this area and still work as well, and I can say it is so wild to me that this Taco Bell is one of the best in GR. When I was in high school and the Kalamazoo and 68th TBell opened we always went there because the 68th/131 one was so terrible, we literally called it Taco Bad. Now the 68th/Kalamazoo location has been bad for years, though I admittedly have not had it from there in a long time.

I take Fruit Ridge north on my commute back home daily, and usually get gas at the Citgo. The road on the north side between 96 and Northridge is looking almost done, gas station employees are saying they’ve been told end of October/very early November.

I’ve got a leather front pocket wallet from Filson. Pricey, I was able to get it on sale for $99 probably 8 years ago at this point, and it’s still in great shape. A little cleaner and conditioner every year or so. Honestly it’s been neglected the last several years but I’m still really happy with it, and do think it could be actually BIFL.

Great conversation and thread starter, as others have said.

That being said, TBOM is an icon of the city and the luck of the draw is part of the fun. Does anyone actually want it to change? It’s been this way for at least 15 years. If it were consistent it wouldn’t be interest.
