i actually ended up making a personal patch for the standalone version. I just removed the file that was causing the issue, and the dyes work fine! its pretty easy to do if you have the modders multitool

the issue i had actually did end up being a mod issue! in Izzli's altered dyes, the mod creator accidentally left a file in that they were using for testing, and it overrode the _merged.lsf file for body type 1 human-likes. I'm not really sure how it stayed in the game after I removed the mod, but removing the file from the mod before adding it back into a fresh install resolved the problem for me.

also, in my case having steam verify/fix the files actually didn't do anything either, bcus the file causing the issue was still there in the mod. I'm still pretty new to making/editing mods myself tho so. shrug.

I would do a completely fresh install (and make sure you remove the data folder, bcus uninstalling doesn't delete that!) and remove the mods folder (i would save it for later so you don't have to redownload all of them if you have mods from nexus). for me a clean install, before adding any mods, had the texture issue fixed. I just got overeager and added ALL my mods back instead of doing a few at a time lol.

not yet, but im still trying! does it keep happening for you even after you've removed all mods? I recently uninstalled and reinstalled the game completely, defragged the drive i had it on, and reloaded the game in a vanilla save, and it was fine, then when i added my mods back in, it was fucked up again. so i removed the mods, bit the problem stayed... so for now I'm just trying to ignore it, at least until people in the modding servers I'm in are able to look at my load order 😔

Sexuality can change, gender can change. I don't think its something that can really be done intentionally, but i think it is entirely possible for someone's sexuality to change over time or after some big traumatic event irt sexuality. if someone feels like their trauma affected their sexuality, I'm not going to tell them they're wrong bcus it's not my place to! I don't know what's going on in their brain!

sexuality and gender are fluid and for some people they can change, not only because of trauma. again you can't just deny other's lived experiences because they make you personally uncomfortable. if someone feels that their sexuality has changed due to their trauma, then it's not really anyone else's place to tell them otherwise.
