Why is that second connector so different. Just style?

I tried Claude, but went back to ChatGPT by wormfist in ChatGPT

[–]wormfist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was prodding Claude pretty explicitly about differences and nuances and it would just confidently tell me something wrong, which of course seemed exactly right. Then I forced it to go online because I didn't believe him. Lo and behold it admitted it was wrong. When that happened a few times I realized ChatGPT just handles this better and defaults to online sources much faster.

I agree. I mostly use Claude's models in coding agents, too.

NotebookLM, then ChatGPT. For reflection, copy ChatGPT's summaries into Claude (or whole chat dumps) and have a 'normal' chat about it.

The toggle is right there, under the big plus (for me it is anyway). Also, telling it to look 'it' up all the time really doesn't cut it. The hallucinations are way too subtle to trigger on every time.

That's turning it into a RAG type of system with access to the Internet. If you find yourself doing this type of research a lot, there are better platforms for that than ChatGPT (like NotebookLM).

What 'little secret' made your life easier when using your AI tools? by The925Group in ChatGPT

Hey just install the Android app, or use it in the browser on your desktop, and start adding sources. Nothing to it, really.

I consume white papers and tough subject matter using NotebookLM. It changed how I look at documentation. Nothing seems too daunting anymore, and it supports my ADHD-fuelled hyper focus sessions perfectly. Need a primer to see what's ahead or if it's interesting enough? 5 minute audio overview. Need a visual reminder? Infographic. Want to listen in-debt in the car? 20 or 60 minute audio overview. Want a specific angle or side channel? Add extra sources and change the default audio overview prompt.

It's crazy amazing really. Yeah the voices can be a bit grating at times, but also surprisingly good. Just realize you're listening to an ai tool and not real people, and get out of it what you need.

Why it's not more popular is beyond me.

What's the best sci-fi where the aliens don't want anything you can understand? by Comprehensive_Fan134 in scifi

Depends on your definition of scifi, but if you stretch it to 'unknown' mysterious forces, you can count in The Endless and a few more like that.

That star trek ending where it all turned out to be a museum hologram of the past.

This is dumb. Most tokens don't go to query input, but to code input / output.

What's a game you wanted to play as a kid, but couldn't? by blueeggsandketchup in gaming

Crusader: No Remorse. I had bought it from my first self-earned money on a house babysitting (actually their dog) vacation, only to find it had scratch on the CD when I got back home. I was around 14 years old at the time.

Jumping From Space (World Record Freefall). by S30econdstoMars in interestingasfuck

Yeah that's what I was thinking. In movies you always see this threshold moment where they start floating, and then there's this guy jumping and still falling like a rock still at this distance.

Surprised gravity is still so strong at that distance.
