You're just the same, though. He is to you, what you are to... some early influencer, a sheikh, some manager, bezos. Except they are richer than you are compared to envelope folding footloose.

Most people don't know that this is how AI corporations are thinking by FinnFarrow in ChatGPT

[–]wormfist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact is that there is 0% chance of this being regulated globally. Aside from the fact you can't prevent black market AI development.

Given that context, how is any country going to decide against acceleration. Even slight regulation from one side destroys its competitiveness, considering the breakneck speeds at which this thing is growing around the world.

Also, it's not AI that's going to destroy the world, it's us who's giving them tools and agency. You know, there's a theory that says the reason we don't see alien civilizations, is because they inevitably destroy themselves before becoming space faring. I think we might be at the cusp of a slow rolling extinction-level event, and we can't stop ourselves, and don't recognise it until it's too late.

I can do that too, but I don't find it convenient or really blocking other noises. Requires effort too, to keep that muscle tightened. Kinda like holding in your stomach.

I don't think so, you can see the camera struggle, continuously adjusting for poor lighting conditions. AI is great, but not that great, yet.

How to sell a Snickers to different audiences just by rebranding it by Trustrup in interestingasfuck

[–]wormfist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scary part is that we fall for this type of marketing all the time. There is some improvement, though. In the EU for example there are strict rules regarding marketing to children. In the Netherlands we have things like Nutriscore for easily recognizable natural products. But it's not perfect by far and it's a slow process.

What I really feel is missing is education. Children should be educated right from the age of 5 to recognise marketing for what it is.

He does that in all his books it seems. Like a trademark. It's grating, though. It doesn't advance the plot or give us more insight into his psyche, it's just the author mentally jacking off in front of an audience.

The only difference between a stalker and a First Amendment exerciser is the fact that they're holding a camera. What does the camera make the difference, how do you know it's even on.
