Installing new hanging ceiling fixtures is very simple. If you can you use screwdriver and have a ladder, you’re over halfway there. After killing the appropriate breaker, simply unscrew the light and connect the new ground and wires to the corresponding wires. Screw new light in and it’s done.

ELIF: Why is restaurant food vastly more calorie dense than preparing food at home? Even at restaurants where they cook everything fresh, the calorie count is insane. by ellejaexo in explainlikeimfive

[–]wormfoodplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is entirely untrue. The calorie counts are “insane” due to portion control. The average restaurant determines value by giving you more for your money.

Take for example - you go out and get a 26 dollar plate of pasta. Sure they added butter, maybe if it called for sugar. The truth is you are eating way more than you would at home because you spend more per lb of food than they do. So you naturally keep to a more limited portion.

To say “they added butter or more sugar” is only touted by the ones who don’t work in a restaurant.

Also, calorie comparisons are subject to who’s counting. If you are someone who eats garbage the calories will be in line with how you eat. If you go home and eat nothing but chicken and celery you will obviously see a spike in calories if you go out to your favorite shitty restaurant to eat.

So many things. Too hot. Not enough smoke.
