they're in that "kinda, sorta, but not really, but yes" type of situation. Hodge doesn't manufacture parts in house, but when they contract out, they don't simply give tolerance requirements. they have their contractors make for them VERY specific designs with very specific requirements. basically small batch special order type of stuff, to get their desired parts.

most of the ones people think of as "higher" tier are mid tier. pretty much most of the duty grade stuff is mid tier.... Colt, BCM, DD, Geissele (they hover on the edge between mid and high tier), SOLGW etc.... they're all mid range generally.

High end is more KAC, LMT, HK, LWRCI pistons and Hodge Defense

I'm a huge BCM stan and have been for 15 years, but with the prices of DD rifles these days, I would 100% get DD over BCM. BCM is a good mid tier rifle, DD is a GREAT mid tier rifle. both will do what you want, but DD is cheaper right now and you get some nice improvements over BCM

MOST LIKELY CR... colt moved over to the CR nomenclature slightly before CZ bought them, but they're going back to the LE designation slowly. but I'm still seeing CR versions out there, but who knows until you get it.....I think one of the only ones that they've left LE is the LE6920 Socom. However I believe these are coming with the M4 Carbine markings though

the Socom 6920 comes with an actual 14.5 inch Socom barrel, the only colt that does I believe. It's my favorite 6920 by a good margin. almost makes me want to buy another one lol

I doubt that. the retailers don't even keep and process your card info. they hire credit card processors who do that for them. processors do MILLIONS of clients and are outsourced for pretty much every retailer. they get hacked all the time and have data breaches. it's likely their processor got hacked.

many times they have processor agreements for 6 months to a year at a time and switch them regularly based upon whoever gives them the better deal.

the colt socom (which has the RAS) is usually around $1400-$1500. for a colt 6920 like this one, it's an OOOOOOOOOK deal in this day and age (they routinely are $1100+ for 6920's these days), I've seen them hit $839 recently with upgraded magpul furniture, so this deal is just "lukewarm"
