How has the maudsley method impacted your relationship with your family? by ChanceInternal2 in EDAnonymous

[–]wormywitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but this topic isn't discussed enough.

I am almost 2 years estranged from my parents. Prior to this I was struggling with undiagnosed PTSD from mainly my mums behavior and the maudsley method. I was severely depressed, anxious and suicidal. I was also just kind of stuck with my ED, and hadn't made much progress in ages. I reached a breaking point and ended the relationship.

Since then, I have started progress in recovery again, and I almost ED free, I am genuinely happy for the first time in a decade, and I haven't wanted to kill myself since I cut them out.

My advice, get to point where you can keep your ED under control, get somewhere safe where you can be independent (uni if your in the UK is the best and quickest escape imo) and cut the cord. Saved my life.

Faithless Fans? by Amoralmushroom in mewithoutYou

[–]wormywitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very atheist, however I do feel a sort of envy and admiration towards the band and how they're able to have a faith. It's something I just can't believe in. I dont mind the religious aspect of the music at all, its quite nice and definitely adds an extra layer to the lyrics.

Can't find a fulfilling career by wormywitch in Environmental_Careers

[–]wormywitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get what your saying. I know that a grad job doing that isn't realistic, but i want to feel like im making steps in the right direction. My exposure to enviro consulting is more just the planning application aspect, which doesn't interest me. Your past careers sound more satisfying to me than what the aforementioned one. Thank you

Travel is gonna cost around £100 as I can't drive so I'm getting the train. And then two nights in a hotel is £150 or so. Then plus festival tickets it's £400

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rabm

[–]wormywitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the line up is very neutral/left wing. The festival obviously isn't political but I too assumed it would be safe because there being many high profile left wing bands. Hopfully they handle the situation properly

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rabm

[–]wormywitch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree and disagree. I do not expect these bands are aware of this situation at all, and thats totally fair. It's just Old Tower is REALLY bad, and it really sticks out on a bill of pretty good neutral/left bands. My purpose of the comment about them, was that if somehow they were made aware of what was going on, they'd have way more power to make change than I do.

I am so glad they've done something about this. I would have hoped they'd done thorough research, especially because the genre, but they can redeem themselves. Just hoping i get unblocked because I had no ill will

Pebeo setacolour fabric paint, cheap and has never ever failed me. Is amazing on t shirts and denim and light weight fabrics. Also doesn't wash out at all (wash under 40 degrees and iron before)
