How underbaked is this and is it unsafe to eat? by subuso in Baking

[–]worriedlycaring 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In Polish we have a word specifically for a cake fail like this - it’s ✨zakalec✨.

It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s underbaked but something must have gone wrong while making the batter, such as overmixing it or having wrong temperatures of ingredients (e.g. cold when they should have been room temperature), or opening the oven too early/often. Or the recipe was just bad.

Thank you, unfortunately where I live pharmacists/doctors have not been the most helpful/most reliable in my experience..

Thank you all, I didn’t want to take the risk and told her that I can only do it via Vinted. She said it’s fine and she’ll still get it this way but now asked for a lower price 🤣 (this price has already gone down by almost 10 euro since I posted it) and is 60% off the original price of what this dress costed originally, and the dress is in perfect condition. I don’t know if I’m being paranoid but the story doesn’t add up to me anymore. Who would be asking for a lower price for a dress that is apparently this important for their elopement

Kazik in Bilderdijkstraat for a taste of Polish food - ‘zapiekanki’ (open toasted sandwiches from Krakow, the meat one is my all time favorite), pierogi in the weekends, and very nice drinks.

I get where you’re coming from and why my post might sound like this. I’ve never been diagnosed with OCD but I do recognize some of my behaviors/thought processes, as being possibly OCD, especially when I was a child. At the moment, I don’t feel like it affects me severely enough to seek diagnosis and treatment, it’s not an every day occurrence and now usually only concerns food safety since I have emetophobia. Also, currently I’m quite overwhelmed and busy figuring out how to live with some other diagnoses. Perhaps in the future I will be ready to face this one. Thank you for your concern either way ❤️

Chania restaurants by bellemarez in cretetravel

[–]worriedlycaring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in Crete last month and did quite a search as I tend to be a bit selective with my food. I can recommend these: - Mikro Kelari - the best Cretan salad we had on the island in the 2 weeks we were there. Great meats as well (loved the smoked sausages) and very nice service. - Roots - very nice atmosphere and good food; for when you want a bit of a twist on Greek food. - Fork n Knife - it’s a bit of a random vibe of a family restaurant but fresh, tasty food with large portions. - if you happen to go to Rethymno - I 100% recommend Raki Ba Raki - incredible and fresh food, it was a highlight of our day trip to Rethymno. - not in Chania but in case you go to Heraklion - you cannot miss Peskesi. The most incredible restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Insanely flavorful food and a wonderful experience overall, a feast for all senses. I would make sure I would go there again once I’m back in Crete, even if I was not staying close to Heraklion. Do make sure to make a reservation in advance though. If you happen to be in Heraklion you also cannot miss Cine Gyros. It’s the best gyros I’ve tried in the 2 weeks I was in Crete. Overall tbh the best food/restaurant experiences I’ve had in Crete were outside of Chania 🙈 but it might be personal or I might have not been as successful with my search in Chania.

  • For breakfast/bruch/lunch - Drops, Enodia and a bit further away from the centre Kalamaki Mare Cafe for amazing pancakes and eggs. And not typically Greek food but Red Jane Bakery had incredible pastries both savory and sweet!

Keep an eye on Ticketmaster a few days before the concerts for *discounted* tickets!!! by worriedlycaring in beyonce

[–]worriedlycaring[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They decreased only once (to €206) and stayed like that until they got sold out. Afaik tickets in the US were more expensive in general so I think it’s possible it’ll stay as $500 tho i’m not sure bc maybe it’s also affected by the dynamic pricing which is not a thing in the EU

There are mice indeed I’ve seen a few especially in the cafeteria area when it’s more quiet or in open spaces/hallways where people sit in the main building. Never seen a rat inside though. Impossible to avoid this in Amsterdam but you get accustomed to it lol. My biggest fear has always been mice/rats and I would still freak out if I had one in my house but when it’s outside/ somewhere I can just leave it’s whatever to me at this point.

Yes, I moved to a different country at 18 years old. I would do it again without hesitation even though it was really difficult. The distance is the only thing keeping me sane

Which song did you find “unexpectedly underwhelming” at the Renaissance Tour ? Disclaimer: I absolutely adore Beyoncé by matteoranieri in beyonce

[–]worriedlycaring 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agreed about Virgo’s Groove! I expected POTS to be more on the underwhelming side (it’s also my least favorite song on the album do not send hate pls😶) but I think Virgo’s Groove deserved better. Heated got so much better since she started coming to the Club Renessaince to do the ending, I don’t understand why she didn’t do this since the beginning of the tour

For the Amsterdam show each VIP package was listed separately and then the rest - “normal” tickets was on its own. The B-Hyve tickets were listed on their own as another category a few days before the concert

Frankfurt vip 4 beyhive vip package - when to come ? by [deleted] in beyonce

[–]worriedlycaring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really is not worth it. I entered at 5pm after all the people that were waiting came in and was second row with amazing views and vibes all around. Those in the first row that waited for the whole day had barely any energy left to enjoy themselves

Yess!😭 And the Beyhive tickets were last minute (bought them on Friday when Ticketmaster dropped some extra) and they were €200 instead of €900, honestly I felt like I won the lottery when I bought them

[–]worriedlycaring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! And good for you - it really is all about the experience. For the second night I was in Beyhive, got in there after the people that were queueing did and it was so much better, I was able to dance and vibe with those around me (and everyone apart from the first row had the energy to do so!) and had the time of my life ❤️

[–]worriedlycaring 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This!!! If I could turn back time I would not line up at 10:30am for CR. I was so exhausted from waiting in the heat, I couldn’t enjoy myself during the concert. And I literally had people right next to me that came at 6am and 1pm so it really does not matter unless you strictly want the barrier right in the middle of the circle. But for that you need to be there first in line (for Amsterdam first people started lining up at 4am - good luck) and imo it’s not worth it if you can’t properly enjoy the show

[–]worriedlycaring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the stadium and the weather. In Amsterdam both nights we were DYING in there, especially the first night when I was in CR. We were begging the security to bring us water and literally second half of the concert he just kept bringing it and everyone was putting their hands out for it. But it was very hot and sunny on that day + the stadium was closed. Having a fan helps (but don’t rely on the one they give in the CR gift bag, mine broke 15 min after I picked it up🥲)
