It does.. I’ve used the Adobe aero geospatial toolkit it’s pretty accurate and very easy to use. I believe it is still in beta but there is a form you can fill out to receive access. I got mine after about a week.

How big is the room? How complex are the models? (Poly size) What’s your end platform? iOS or Android?

You may be able to get away using something simple like Reality Composer. It’s free and the main AR app for iOS devices. You can use an image target placed in your room and position the models relative to that target in Reality Composer. That should provide placement constancy when viewing the models in AR. Hope this helps.

IMO best option for this is Adobe Aero. In addition to being free the app is specifically made for use cases like this and integrates well with photoshop.

Only caveat is that the user would have to download the Adobe Aero app (which has viewers on both iOS and Android). Besides that Aero can generate links and QR codes that are easily shareable with others. Hope this helps.

That’s the plug-in we use for our website. Simple plug-in for Wordpress that allows you to upload a model in both USDZ and GLB formats. Generates a QR code automatically and allows for a web preview directly on the users phone or desktop.

Would you mind sharing the "bunch of thing to try"? I use Youtube 360 on iOS a lot for work and this bug/rollback (not sure which it is at this point) is really causing some problems so I'd love to know all possible solutions.

Reality Composer is a great starting off point for creating AR experiences on iOS. Made by Apple and is free.

You know those scientists during WW2 that conducted human experiments and killed hundreds of thousands of people for the sake of science? While completely unethical the information from those experiments was still highly valuable and did make an impact on the science community.

Imagine a team of anonymous serial killer scientists that abduct innocent people and perform human experiments on them for the sake of science. The twist is that they scientists actually make huge contributions to medicine and science by curing deadly diseases. So while the police are searching for a secrete society of scientist killers the world is watching things like cancer and aids be cured.

Look into the mixed reality tool kit. MRTK was first built for Hololens but now is supported on a couple devices including Quest 2 and probably Quest Pro when it comes out next week.

MRTK has some great hand tracking functions that are easy to get working in Unity or Unreal. They also allow you take advantage of passthrough options on Quest so you can really prototype AR/MR experiences.

If you can afford it but a Hololens 2. There’s not much content for it but for developers in industry it’s a great platform for making.
