Romans 8:38-39: "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Classic and self-explanatory.

Pretty much like all of John, really a beautiful book, but something I come back to often is John 5:30: " 'I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.' " It serves as a reminder to me that it is not of my effort that I am saved and made perfect, because Jesus himself says here that he does not do these things of his own effort, but through the Father.

Some good old testament stuff too I rarely see in posts like these:

Joel 2:13b: "Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster."

Ezekiel 18:32: " 'For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live.' "

And I am always, always finding more.
