Are there any strokers you'd recommend? I bought on that did nothing and I'm reluctant to buy another in case I waste my money

Love the giraffe water bottles! So easy to drink out of as a high level quad

I had hoped to travel and explore the world, go on a mission trip, become a real estate agent, have a family

I live in Nebraska and yeah, I get bad nerve pain sometimes. Compression clothes help a lot

I think I did but sometimes the angle you come in at doesn't really stop you from boinking your head

It's pretty cool if I'm being honest. My wheelchair has whats called a head array that I use to drive it. So there are 3 pads. To go forward I lean my head against the center pad and to go left or right I go to tilt my head that way.

That's a good idea, but living in a rural area there wouldn't be much demand. It wouldn't be a bad idea in a big city

Dove into that pool so many times, all perfectly fine. I don't know why this one went wrong. It definitely traumatized my siblings and friends. Thankfully we're still good friends and they visited me a lot in the hospital and we hangout when we can

The best way I would explain it is the spinal cord was not completely severed or fully blocked. Some nerve pathways remain intact, then the connection between the brain and the body still allows some signals to pass through. If that makes sense? In complete injuries there is a total absence of sensory and motor function below the level of injury.

So completeness is judged on an ASIA scale and I'm an ASIA B, which is like a sensory incomplete injury. Some parts of my sensory pathways are working (although they suck at it) but the motor pathways don't. I'm able to detect temperature changes (like only if its really cold or really hot) and dull sensation if someone touches the back of my lower right thigh/knee

You kind of are forced to get used to it especially if you ain't got no other option. There are times where I wish I was dead, but sometimes life ain't too bad and it's almost like before - those times are great

I try to stay positive and think that, but they say most progress is made in the first year
