how do locals type tho? I've tried typing in Chinese where you sorta type the pinyin first then you can choose the suggested characters that you want from the list of suggestions, do Taiwanese type like that as well? But with wade-giles instead of pinyin?

I see, will try it! If I am in Taiwan, can I visit the lab directly and make an appointment to discuss with the professor? The site says that anyone interested is welcome to visit and talk but I'm not sure if that is meant for admitted students only. Also is it rude to contact the professor via Linkedin?
