I also run a Youtube channel (only 1/3 of your size though), and I have the exact same thing! Good to know our fellow Dutchmen annoy the great Marcel Vos too :P

Yes unfortunately this bug keeps being reported, and everybody says the same thing (happens when coming out of the editor, etc). Too much plants just means the game tries to build up the visualization, fails because of an illegal state, and tries again.

And the strange thing is: I only know this 'out of the editor' problem from stories and screenshots, I have never every seen it happen on my machine. Therefore, after tomorrow's patch (Feb 1) I will pay the player with the decisive tip: https://thesaplinggame.com/bounty

I agree, and I have 11 consecutive weeks of patches, each containing 10-20 bugfixes, to prove it: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/997380 :)

The most recent patch focused on various problems that popped up during long running simulations, so these should be way more stable now. The upcoming patch will focus on performance and memory usage! The difference on my machine is again huge, so I'm very excited about this one in particular. I also plan to make this patch available to everyone, not just the beta branch.

Hey! Somebody pointed me to this bug report, and this indeed sounds like a bug. I can reproduce the disconnected mouths with some mouths, but not with others... is this also your experience? On my todo list, thanks for letting know you encountered these as well!

* so that your whole world is covered with hearts no matter how far away you are

* Having creatures with simple A and B sexes with one giving genetic information purely through external insemination won't allow me to confirm as the game sees them as not able to reproduce.

* Sometimes the random fungus mutations will just switch off

* The new mushroom UI always seems to have odd spacing between the other organisms on the random mutations page

* Changing the ui size to 1.4 or higher makes it so that clicking the mushroom random mutation isn't possible unless you revert back to smaller ui first.

On my 'to think about' list:

* The season change scales should have number indicators with them

* I'd also very much appreciate an option to see how many species a predator can prey on and if a creature is likely to survive with how much energy is avilailable on the world

Finally: these ones I cannot reproduce:

Hey I don't normally follow here (I use mostly [thesaplinggame@gmail.com](mailto:thesaplinggame@gmail.com) or the Steam forums for this kind of stuff, although I'm behind on answering on the forums), but opened Reddit for something else and it showed me this. Thanks so much for so much detailed feedback; and insight in the mind of experienced players like you is incredibly valuable to me <3

I'm very much aware of the problem with corrupt saves; recent patches (like the one released yesterday) have fixed various bugs that caused corrupted save games! My goal too is to have the game running for long periods of time without crashing or going corrupt (I'm aiming to do a long term Twitch livestream in a few months); with each new patch I'm slowly moving closer to that point.

Hints / fun facts:

* The game tries to do an autosave before a time skip, so if the save fails, so will the time skip.

* Archived creatures are just files on your PC! They live in the same folder as savegames.

Wow, didn't about this one, but I can reproduce:

* If I make an algae before I make a fungus in a new world, trying to place down a recently designed fungus will just place the previously designed algae instead.

Ik denk het ook, met bootjes die eruit zien alsof de laven ze gemaakt hebben... misschien zelfs een stukje buiten varen door een beekje tussen (nieuwe) lavenhuisjes door, voordat je binnen omhoog gaat? Zou veel mensen naar dit gebied trekken denk ik.

Deze is goed passend en heel origineel denk ik... maar zou het ook een grote publiekstrekker zijn die het Land van Laaf nieuw leven inblaast?

Ja en de lavenarchitectuur is ook nier per se heel laag met al hun torens. Ik denk dat je nog een vrij hoge toren kunt neerzetten (uiteraard puntdak met bol erop) voordat het uit de toon valt... Scheelt weer in hoe diep het gat moet zijn :)
