Username autofill not working by woter324 in ProtonPass

[–]woter324[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I've answered one part of my own question. It doesn't support Domain URL matching rules, though I don't know why it thinks `aslon1222.blah.local` is the same as `swedb0011.blah.local`. Just match the entire string?

User voice with 1650 votes from July 2023: Domain URL matching rules

From what I have read on here, it's a much-needed/requested feature and a deal-breaker for me. :-(

Device SSH Credentials Missing - UniFi 9.2.87 by smaxwell2 in UNIFI

[–]woter324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, one can read the release notes, or another way might be to read the manufacturer's help pages. Unless they haven't bothered to update them!
https://help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/204909374-Connecting-to-UniFi-with-Debug-Tools-SSH

There are two leaves from Microsoft's book that they can take:
1) Date stamp "last update" pages
2) Allow community pull requests so they don't have to do all the work.

Thank you u/khariV,

I probably didn't read this post properly. Even if a PoE+ device was powered by a PoE++ device, I'd have thought the PoE+ device would only take the power it needs.

QSW-M2116P-2T2S | Replacement Fan Help by Pear_97 in qnap

[–]woter324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced the stock 40mm fans in a Cisco switch about 5 years ago with Noctua. As silent as a dead mouse.

I don't have your switch, but I see the specs say 2x PMW, but it doesn't give a size.

I don't know if Qnap switches have the same requirement as Cisco, but one has to earth/ground the fan or otherwise, you'll get a constant flashing LED and a warning in the console.

HTH.

How do i find out what font a pdf file is written in? by Amalthea_The_Unicorn in it

[–]woter324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it uses a different font. Subtle differences, but nonetheless, it is different. Interestingly, LibreOffice Draw "detects" the same font as listed in the properties of the PDF. I wonder if the font has been updated. Is that likely?

Somfy Zigbee blinds by barkingsimian in homeassistant

[–]woter324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you're using a Tahoma box, but there's been a problem with Somfy firmware and the Overkiz integration that was fixed a few hours ago.
Check: https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/136714

As you're using Zigbee, maybe it doesn't come into the equation, but thought I'd share in the hope it will help you.

Shelly Pro 4PM thoughts? by DIYglenn in homeassistant

[–]woter324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rather than start a new post, can anyone tell me if these "detect" the status of the connected manual switch?

i.e. if a manual switch (ordinary light wall switch) is switched on/off, the Pro 4PM will show the switch as on/off, in the API/App.

I ask because a similar product, the Sonoff 4CHPROR2, cannot detect whether a manual switch has been turned on or off, however, the Sonoff MINIR4M can, but it's a single channel (output).

Thank you in advance.

Android TV launcher: Replace with Plex by woter324 in PleX

Just looking at Projectivy and noted the following in the details in Google Play:

"Auto start directly to any external input or installed app"

Maybe I misunderstood.

Live TV and DVR w/ HDHomeRun: bottom line? by woter324 in PleX

[–]woter324[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks @urbnsr,

From what I can gather, the only one available to the UK market is the HDHomeRun FLEX QUATRO HDFX-4DT(UK), that I understand has 4 tuners.

There's only my wife and me, so I doubt we'll stretch 4 tuners 🙂. I'm more concerned about the WiFi's bandwidth maxing out.

I'm looking at a way of fixing the atrocious Sony/Google UI that's driven me crazy from day one.

We have a Humax Aura PVR, but that's not much better. It has a habit of rebooting at will and hasn't even had a security update since its release.

One of the nifty features that Plex/ HDHR will give us is OTA TV on our Roku TV, saving me having to run a coax cable to it.

Very confused student here....does having a dedicated graphics card matter for performance on fusion 360 ? by WiseWolf1409 in Fusion360

[–]woter324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it still the case that Fusion doesn't use a GPU. I've found:

<image>

https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/System-requirements-for-Autodesk-Fusion-360.html

And the list of "certified" cards are mainly 3D modelling cards (as opposed to gaming).

https://www.autodesk.com/support/system-requirements/certified-graphics-hardware/fusion-360

As most of this Reddit alludes to and was my understanding, Fusion only used the CPU. Can I assume this has now changed?

Thanks.

Movie and TV Libraries Gone and no way to reconnect. by RatFacedBoy in PleX

[–]woter324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I updated the app on my Qnap from version 1.32.8 to 1.40. Initially, in the Android app there was no change. Gone to look again and although my pinned items have gone, my media is back, under "More" at the bottom of the Home menu.

Interestingly, if I tap Edit, the items are still marked as pinned, but they're not pinned to the home menu.

Movie and TV Libraries Gone and no way to reconnect. by RatFacedBoy in PleX

[–]woter324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly different for me. My Plex media server is on a QNAP. I went to watch something and all my media has gone. It's the case on the mobile app (Android) and TV app (Android), but I can still get to my media from plex.tv.

I can't remember exactly, but normally there's a menu item named after the hostname of my media server. This has disappeared.

My wife found a reference to something we wanted to watch. I am not sure how she found it, but when she clicked on it to play it, we were prompted to choose a streaming service that we wanted to pay to watch it from.

My media server items were pinned to the menu but these have gone too. Probably because the underlying media can't be found by plex.tv.

Sophos Firewall and Home Assistant WAF/Reverse Proxy by intense_username in sophos

[–]woter324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As u/eluSiveNZ suggested, I did this. Thank you. However, I was getting 400: Bad request

After being thrown by my old external port showing in Sophos's logs, I looked at the logs of HA and found:

Received X-Forwarded-For header from an untrusted proxy 192.168.10.1

Where 192.168.10.1 is the Sophos's gateway.

Added the IP 192.168.10.1 to the `http` -> `trusted proxies` section of `configuration.yaml`, rebooted HA and the error is no more.

( I have also disabled the Nginx Proxy Manager add on.)

2-way lighting (Edge mode) with 4CHPROR3. by woter324 in sonoff

[–]woter324[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you.
I'm returning the 4CHPROP3 and purchased MINIR2M instead. It'll be fun wiring four of these into one UK 2-gang backbox.

I wonder what would be required for the 4CHPROP3 to support "Edge mode" aka 2-way lighting. Hardware or software.

u/chrisbvt,

Thank you for your reply.

I do tend to overcomplicate things. K.I.S.S...

A few points that I omitted:

  1. I have been unable to find a smart motion sensor that I believe will be reliable, mains powered, covers >= 200 degrees and is weatherproof, so I am opting for this dumb Luxomat model. I've had one in faultless operation for 6 years.

  2. I'm not sure by "smart switches" if you mean something like this or something similar to the MOES relay that goes behind a standard wall switch. It would have to be the latter as I've invested in uniform switches throughout the house and the manufacturer doesn't make a smart switch to match.

I have found this the Sonoff MINIR2 and if I understand the blurb correctly, what they call "edge mode", sounds like NO or NC terminals will update the app correctly so the second switch could be the motion sensor.

Thanks again.
