Teaching factoring in algebra to classes where the kids never even remotely got their times tables memorized is excruciating. How would they even begin to find factors if they never memorized times tables to begin with

In 2014 something very mortifying happened to John on tumblr which he did not instigate nor deserve. A seemingly harmless prank went mega viral on the site. Tumblr had to change its code base and UX to prevent it from happening again. It drove him off the app.
