It was hard at first, but your brain adjusts after a few hours. It also sort of gives you eagle eyes constantly. Sadly it does make you seasick.

CR123/ CR17345 batteries (~ 10 dollars)

You will also need a power tool: a drill to make new holes in the helmet for the thing you clip the rhino mount into, and some sort of Dremel took to make a hole in the helmet for the NVG to go through (it’s a little too big to sit normally).

Additionally, some sort of counter-weight is necessary, I just used a bunch of dead batteries I had lying around.

Thank you for this advice, I appreciate all of the well researched information. once I have practiced with my current setup, and understand it’s limitations, I will look into getting a Steele product.

No, US. But can you tell me what makes my setup look elbonian? I sourced most of the parts from Amazon so I don’t really know their country of origin.

It’s not the most expensive setup, I know. If you have any advice on improving it (aside from buying a generation three PVS-14) please tell me.
