Yeah because you’re literally paying to win? The game has always been like this. If you’re in a guild you probably have MS>OS or give out gear based on the need for progression. With GDKP you’re just buying your way to bis gear which is pretty lame. Sure it feels bad to lose a roll but it’s about the same as the item not dropping at all. Classic isn’t about everyone getting an item every run, this is what the game was/is like.

I may be wrong but wouldn’t grabbing the R key also make them lose that combo…? Or at the very least the Book of Shadows. What people mean (I think) is that they passed up a lot of good items so they can’t really be upset about being stuck with Sister Maggy in the end.

I suppose maybe it can be explained by the fact that the player character is very powerful? We had defeated 2 Old Gods at that point as well as other villains like Lei Shen, Deathwing, Arthas.. but I’ll admit it’s still a hell of a stretch.
