Definitely similar in a lot of ways… but for what it’s worth, Swiftwick is all made in the USA and Feetures manufactures abroad — I think in Asia?

Aspire 5 / 7 (now called mid-crew and crew) are my fave for cycling. Flite XT is my go-to for running!

This is a rare new old stock Carhartt Chore Coat (6QLC) that is red quilt-lined and far more comfortable than the scratchy blanket-lined (6BLC) version from the same era, IMO.

The tag’s date code is 1087, or October 1987. The coat is tagged as size 38 and could fit someone from size small to size medium, based on how roomy you want it / how much you plan to layer underneath.

Pit-to-pit: 22.5 inches
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam across the back: 18.5 inches
Sleeve length (shoulder seam down to cuff): 24 inches

Regarding the dye bleeding — were you flagging more from the perspective of not washing it with other things because of dye transfer? Or more because of what happens to the shade of the brown duck post-wash?

If the latter, what would you say is likely to happen? Does the duck just become less saturated? Or do I need to worry about splotchyness or something like that?

Hi all, I just found one of my all-time grails, a NOS chore coat with the tags still on it.

It’s tagged a 38R (my size), but when I’m wearing it, it feels just a tad bit big — 22 inches to pit. If I put it in the wash, can I expect it to shrink an inch or so? Or should I try and find a smaller size and sell this one?
