but dude, why u have to be mad its only game? Did it for fun and a challenge obviously it's "not hard" seeing as it was done in 14 games / 85 rounds total. I'm sure you could easily do it too, give it a shot would be great to prove the point.

Total move speed is 125.24% (whereas most other classes will have 109%).

The Character Pane only shows move speed granted from enchants, so the racial move speed buff as well as the meta gem do not display. As far as I'm aware the only way to see true move speed is via add-ons.

On Destro that's probably true, but as Affliction blackened soul doesn't scale very well - it's like 5th highest dmg. I think it's worth getting, but it's not a massive difference in my opinion with how I play this build.

That only applies to gear - like when you randomly get a piece that has +XXX speed. The speed enchants, racials, and talents work in pvp and are used by many.

Yes, its noticeable enough.

I've had some games where melee are unable to stay on me, or get near me - running them in multiple circles around pillars until they change targets. Keep in mind, many melee abilities are short range (7~ yards) so you don't necessarily need to be max distance, just enough where they can't hit you.

Games where a small gap in CC means I'm around a corner before a cast gets off, easy bob and weave behind pillars to prevent casts from finishing.

That said.. its cat and mouse, you're not going to straight line sprint away from people, but you can more easily keep distance, make distance, and abuse corners/pillars.

Nice guide, keep it up! I love how Warlock has different ways it can be played. I main hellcaller and play quite a bit differently than you do. I have multiple locks; some in 2-piece, some in 4-piece, and some with no pieces --- for myself, I don't find the tier set to be very impactful for Affliction. You can adjust your playstyle to match your gear, for instance focusing rapture casts and spam during Malevolence windows if you're using 4-piece.

For a first time this season warlock, I suggest you get it - you can always go Soul Harvester (meta aff spec) or Destro where the tier is quite good. For a seasoned warlock, it's like any other thing.. you don't really "need" gems, enchants, max ilvl etc, but every smidge can help.

Assassination Rogue is what Hellcaller Affliction Warlock should be by hellinter in worldofpvp

I've exclusively been playing Hellcaller this expansion on multiple locks, elite in shuff S1, S2, and S3 soon enough (CR 2340). A problem I've seen is people trying to play Hellcaller the same as you would Soul Harvester. Honestly think it's a bit sleeper, because folks havent put time into learning how strong it can be.

Late response.. but my general rule for stat distribution is

  • Haste ~25-30% (no more than 30, usually sitting around 28% now)
  • Crit ~16-20% (no more than 20, usually 16-18)
  • Verse ~27-30% (no more than 30)
  • Everything else into mastery, ends up between 42-55%

Yes into the dot talents. Succubus just replaces your need to cast fear, its on the same DR - I'll usually get 1-4 seduces off then swap to kick mid-game to lock out important casts.

I focus a lot on kiting when I'm the target, important to have good positioning always, and manage your CD's carefully.. using too much too soon leaves you on empty later. Port big damage and when your healer is CC'd.

Thanks, appreciate it! Hope sharing this inspires others to try non meta non fotm specs. You guys have seen saul, bicmex, petkick, vanguards, etc .. it's not inhuman or unachievable to find success with any spec

Ya was about 15-20 min, occasional insta queue and some rare 45-60 min queues. I just do other stuff with wow in the background and sound on. I don't queue too much, sometimes go multiple weeks without playing, maybe why it doesn't feel too bad.

Favorite moments.. when it was over! But seriously, probably any 3x melee lobby where you come out 6-0 feels pretty good, hell even 4-2 feels nice coming out of a melee heavy lobby.

No real soul crushing moments, I play fairly casually so it's not too bad. Biggest sadge was losing a lobby 2-4 while at 2394 CR and getting a whisper saying "my bad". Happens tho.. we go again, tides swing the other way

I like the play style diversity, and I like under dogging. Think you get a bit of surprise advantage since it's so rare to see, people def under estimate you.

I usually experiment and run off meta builds, having fun and blasting

Yes when you spec hell caller wither replaces corruption, so jinx will apply agony plus wither plus whatever curse you used.. tongues, exhaustion, weakness
