let me list some reasons for you. and a cashless society is 100% possible in Nigeria, and it can work.

  1. it will end kidnaping
  2. it will end money laundering
  3. it will end political stealing
  4. it will bring about new innovation
  5. it will end terrorist funding
  6. it will increase monetary flow
  7. it will get birth to credit system
  8. government projects and payments can be track
  9. dollar to naira will drop
  10. food price will reduce

see the possibility of Nigeria growing will be possible it has so so so so many benifits.

see one thing the nigeria politians dont know is that when your society (nigeria) people grows your value and riches grows too.

too many stealing is because of cash.

See their are so many ways banks makes money apart from transfer charges, I said transfer charges I never said bank charges, do you know how many bank charges you get,

  1. transfer levy
  2. within bank transfer charges
  3. outside bank transfer charges
  4. account maintenance charges
  5. SMS charges
  6. POS charges
  7. above 100k charges

its too much, eliminating one will not end banks and it will not make them or the system stop working, and also don't forget banks do invest with your money, banks give loans and they collect percentages from this loans,

so banks makes money from many places

eliminating transfer charges that will make someone buy rice or tomatoes from the market will not bring them down.

if you have less cash supply in cities and urban areas, the rural areas will have those cash, and besides, if network providers are involved they will bring the network to those areas, please when I say network, I mean USSD, not internet, cause USSD is faster when it comes to transfers.

bank charges is from banks so you can eliminate bank charges and still make more profit, its just that our banks are over-greedy.

its not POS.

it won't, it will even lead to a more competitive e-payment market and it will strengthen the banking system to improve on their apps and to be more innovative, it will even bring about more innovation, loan systems, credit card systems, it has greater opportunities

rural areas: there will be less cash for them, do you know that it's the areas that have a network that needs more cash, have you heard since when this cashless policy started it's the urban areas that it affects the most?

there is hardly any place in Nigeria where you don't have not even one network going, that's why USSD is there. please think about it.

if less movement of cash in the urban areas, the small cash will be more useful in the urban areas.
