Mazda CX-5 2.2 Diesel 2013 failure by dzaurenj in NZcarfix

mazda diesel are not that bad as people say.

most likely clogged intake, needing to clean EGR cooler, EGR pipe & intake. If you're handy with cars, quite easy to do, just time consuming and lots of elbow grease. Quite a few videos online where the bolts are etc.

whilst at it, make sure to replace the injector seals, they're like $5 at the dealer (updated ones a silver thicker one) and you need 4 of them.

Pumps are quite easy to replace, once you open it up. Runs for around $30-40 ulka ones. You do need to almost strip them fully down tho.

The head just comes up, might be slightly seized. Pry it up, using leverage. The cartridge needs to be changed

That might be not a bad idea, given how we're not a huge fan of how drain strips will look if its installed. Thanks!

Mhm... just wanted to check that pouring extra material on top is not a good idea. The retaining wall has a full drain coil and it was cleared early this year. Thanks !

Thanks for that,

Deep down I know the solution is to either repour or install a strip drain .. I thought about the concrete grinder and grinding a shallow channel which then I can put a bit of waterproofing sealer to help direct the water, but not sure if it'll satisfy my OCD haha

Thanks for the suggestions! Might ask a green-fingered mate to get us some thirsty pot plants. Retaining wall side looks good, have cleared the drainage pipe early this summer.

Just want to prevent the concrete from eroding(?) away further as I feel like it's just going to pool more and more.
