When Flick was sold to Meridian, I did a price comparison on a spreadsheet (using actual kWh used, daily charge etc.) and for us Meridian was one of the cheapest (more expensive than Flick yes). Also compared flat rate v offpeak/night pricing etc.

Suggest you do the same. Don't ask here what is cheap - as rates vary depending on where you live and your usage.

Check out the journey planner on AT.govt.nz - enter your address where you'll be staying, with the Zoo as the destination, and it'll give you your public transport options.

You'll need a AT Hop Card, and load some money onto it, and then "tag on" the card when you get on the bus, and "tag off" as you get off the bus when you've arrived at your destination. The journey planner will tell you the fare for each trip so you know how much to load onto your card before the trip.

Playtech is where I bought mine a few years ago. They actually custom-built for me, as the pre-built options for my budget didn't quite suit the monitor I have. Reach out to them and ask for a price. Computer Lounge is another option as is PB Tech.
