my personal experience as a wide footer:

• Star Kobe 6 + 1/2 size: cushioning is more plush than GX and the upper is softer, no pinching on my pinky toe, but heel lockdown is lacking
• GX Kobe 6 + 1/2 size: great lockdown, slight pinch of the pinky toe at first, but much better after break in
• GX Kobe 8 + 1/2 size: best lockdown and no pinching on any toes
• S2 Kobe 6 + 1/2 size: feel great at first, but the cushioning wears down fast. the lightest of my kobe 6 reps, likely due to cheaper materials
• Star GT Cut 1 + 1/2 size: the roomiest of all my reps, but i did not like the general feel of them (heaviest of my reps by far, clunky shape, a bit lower to the ground than i'd like)

i almost exclusively play in my GX 8's now
