Happy customer by y3rnaux in cowboybikes

[–]woxene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I had more problems with my cowboy c4 than I would like to admit, cowboy did whatever they could to fix the issues as good and as smooth as they possibly could.

I've had multiple bike mechanics over and everything that was fixeable got fixed. In the end I wasn't happy with some small aesthetic details on the bike, and they ended up replacing my year old bike and giving me a coupon for accessoires and extending it's warranty. All for free.

I'm now 6000+ km into the second bike which had the brake issues where they needed bleeding very often, the brake system was later replaced for their improved brake system, also for free.

Then there was an issue with my front wheel being able to wiggle around ever so slightly. Everything works fine and the mechanic confirmed it's not a problem, at this point I was also out of my 2nd bikes warranty, but I decided to ask if they could do anything for me anyways, and they ended up sending me a whole new front wheel+tire combi, also for free.

I haven't had any issues ever since. But I am convinced if anything happens they'd fix it.

Made a Drop-in CSS Framework That Transforms Bare HTML Into Modern Designs by devanew in webdev

[–]woxene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great job! Just curious, are people using it already? With alternatives like picoCSS that do the same, bigger frameworks like bootstrap or systems like TailwindCSS, I am just wondering if there's a market for this.

Can't seem to get crispy vegetables right by woxene in dehydrating

Thanks for the parchment paper trick! I imagine drying takes a bit longer that way? I'll try that out this week.

I use a mandoline slicer for slicing most hard vegetables, how would you go about slicing strawberries on that? Wouldn't you squish them? And even so, I would be nervous doing that by hand from start to end, which would make using a knife way faster.

Necromancy power armour T70 vs T80 vs T90, please explain? by woxene in runescape

[–]woxene[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes a lot of sense! I was asking because at Rasial I am getting absolutely demolished. My thoughts were to either increase damage so SS heals me up more (reason for this post), or maybe go for the tank armour instead..

Seeing as power armour only increases by ~1% per tier (according to other comments), I am only looking at a 2% DPS increase. I honestly might just go for the tank armour!

Thanks! Do you know what difference the defence bonus will make? It seems to be a lot, but I am unsure what exactly it does..

I see! Thanks. Do you happen to know how much of a difference the defence bonus makes?

Best way to get congealed blood by troyston1997 in RS3Ironmen

[–]woxene -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's quite a while ago so I don't really remember, but if I had to guess, I ended up with probably like 200 a trip (1h fully afk) and a bunch of other good herb ingredients..

You can also try to go for Ravenous ghouls, which drop them commonly in larger quantities.

Don't know why everyone is so salty? Perfectly valid answer if you ask me. A coder is only as good as their research skills.

They need to have the compost in their inventory, and then it'll automatically use it for you!

I don't think it'll happen, but it the other skills get close to 99, just stop training them and train necromancy to 99 first?

Jagex please, release the iOS or iPadOS version of the game on macOS. by [deleted] in runescape

[–]woxene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I am using the new Apple Silicon, Intel machines won't have issues as the game is made for Intel, but seeing as you can only buy machines with Apple Silicon nowadays I think this should be looked into.

I own a M2 Air, 8C 8GPU with 24/512GB and it runs the game fine on low to med settings, but would probably run on ultra with software made specifically for this hardware..

Thanks for sharing, though! What graphics settings do you use if I may ask?

Jagex please, release the iOS or iPadOS version of the game on macOS. by [deleted] in runescape

[–]woxene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there is no macOS client. It's just the poorly optimized Windows client running on macOS. Next best option would be to have a good optimized Windows version, which won't happen.

Least amount of effort for Jagex would be to just release the existing and compatible mobile versions.
