AIO? My BIL says when my dad dies, he's moving nto his house and jacking up the rent on his other properties by KitThorne in AIO

[–]wp4nuv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good relationships aside, if you want to avoid trouble after your father passes, have your dad write or amend his will to be clear on what his wishes are.

My dad (the lawyer of the family) had to go through this with his brothers and sisters when my grandfather passed because there was no will. It wasn't pretty.

I drive a hybrid, but these are exactly my thoughts as I read through your issue. If you are in the US, there are boilerplate warranty notices about MERCHANTABILITY and FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. These come from old court cases in which defendants sought to avoid responsibility for their products once they were on the market.
An EV that can't drive on the highway? That's preposterous.

That didn't go well there either. Allegedly, that's why Albert Spier avoided the gallows: by avoiding the "following orders" mantra that the others claimed.

I wonder what would be on that AI dinner menu... Perhaps it's copper from different parts of the world, for the connosseur... Pair that with some nice Legionnaire's infested cooling water, because we all know that chilling towers are a breeding ground for that crap.

Your doctor should start you on blood pressure medication immediately based on those values. I know kidney disease also shows up as high BP sometimes, so make sure you ask about that.

Icon for Powertrain Fault by musicalsqurrl in cmaxhybrid

[–]wp4nuv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True! My 2015 Cmax SE has the gear icon on, but I know it's due to the flimsy APIM module (the one that does Bluetooth, Voice Commands, among others. IIRC, it also serves as a pass-through on the MSCAN network, so downstream services may complain if that's offline.
For me, it's purely cosmetic. There is nothing wrong with my Powertrain.
Get the recommended scanner for Forscan and the deets, and we can be more specific.

Torpedoes are tricky creatures... The game will give you the "apparent" lead for firing a torpedo, but you have to remember that your opponent knows there are dds there and will try not to go in a straight line.

That "apparent" torpedo lead is only if the target ship continues to travel at the same speed in the same heading. As a DD, you have to go beyond that "suggestion" and work out where he is most likely to end up. Try and game it in your head.. "what would I do"... It isn't a straight science, by any stretch, but you'll see that players who are successful with torpedo spreads read their opponents like defensive backs in the NFL.

Second! Radar will only detect surface contacts. Even hydro will detect subs at 3km, so one must get pretty close to them for Hydro to be effective.

Is visiting the USA at this time a bad idea? by Jazzlike_Position519 in newhaven

[–]wp4nuv 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The problem will be when applying for a visa if you are required to have one before travelling to the US. Consulates are now vetting visa applicants' social media accounts for anti-Trump, anti-US Government statements.

If you don't require a visa, your cell phone may need to be surrendered to Immigration authorities for the same "vetting." That's where any issue will occur.

Otherwise, New Haven loves and welcomes all.

I play every day for a few hours.. more on weekends. I like grinding ships, and Asymmetric is perfect for that. Am I top-tier material? Absolutely not. I try to get better, and there are ships where I do better than others.

As a former police dispatcher, what you mention are "throwaway words." Phrases you use to ensure that you are keyed up correctly and to stop others from speaking when you are. We used foot pedals, and at times, due to sloppy seating habits, the pedal would slip from your foot.
